People have there own opinion about certain things, but it is a fact that mercury makes the nastiest outboards nice motor. I use to run a carb 2.5 with off shore mid on my v-king i ran 91mph i love mercs!

Damn I miss that motor....I sold it to buy a 05 drag new in the box and did ,three passes later the 300 was locked up....so I had sit out for a year.. Mercury Racing did send me another new one...Well worth what he's asking for it....Good luck will sell
have a video somewhere. 110 mph is the fastest i have had it. easy to hit 105. have to run in the early winter to hit 108-110. the cooler air creates some extra pony's.
haven't ever put the big compression heads and race gas in it. should run better.

i have a nice lake motor 260.
this motor has a drag exhaust, and all kind of front half mods. lighten piston, top pinned, balance rods. dynoed 325 hp on pump gas.
also just bought a S3000 powerhead...

i have never seen a 15" bass/fish mid..
this a 2.4 offsshore that has been cut down...
marty powell in fl. did it.
i like the look of the ridgeback mids..
i have another 20" o/s mid.
also a 2.4 12" champ mid.

marty, among others will cut standard fishin mids down to 15 " also, but they are a lot thinner..not as much material to work with.
