  • Spike Lee needs to go ahead and collaborate with A. R. Rahman. Because that would be f'n awesome

  • I love this song but I've got more love for the Proximas - Shades of Paradise Version!!!!

  • lmao, i thought i bought the wrong cd when it started ! hahaha

  • Fantastic movie, fantastic song. Spike Lee is fcuking great.

  • For an indian this looks as if we were playing Chaiyya Chaiyya song with player minimized and watching this on mute ;)

  • which language is music ? can anyone tell me , please :?

  • @MergimMafia there's two languages involved. You could say it is Hindi, because that is the language of India and spoken in the movie. But most of the lyrics are written by Bulleh Shah, a famous poet who wrote in Urdu. In fact, Urdu is even mentioned in the song once. Anyway, they're both very related languages, so it doesn't matter. You can just say either.

  • @MergimMafia hindi i think

  • @MergimMafia its an indian song, i think hindi. Its by AR Rahman

  • Spike Lees best movie by far...

  • they immediately cought my attention with this intro...rly rly great movie, i cant say the same about 90% of all the movies produced these days

  • This song remind me my childhood!!! Miss it !!!

  • I had this song in my dream last night.... Damn that was weirdass dream...

  • great music, i lived with hindus in fiji and back then never got 2 grips with it but being older now appreciate it more....and great film by the way...

  • what a great song !!!

  • kickass tune

  • For those who dont knw --its a famous song from 1998 Indian movie"Dil se" .

Music composed by oscar winner "A.R Rahman".

  • The musics coming frm the train thats going past :)

  • @TheAmerican732

    Can't tell if troll...

    Or just ignorant.

  • @TheAmerican732 u cant spell for shit you dumbass

  • @TheAmerican732 Well done, you have just completely reinforced the stereotype of Americans being ignorant. It helps if you actually know where the music is from before trying to be racist. But oh well double ignorance I guess. Secondly, why the hell would you even come to this page if you don't like it so?

  • @TheAmerican732 lol because chaiya chaiya is blatantly talking about Allah, right? -.-

  • like even tho its a bank robbery

the intro shows you that something isn't always serious, a light side to things

and a hint towards the whole situation

  • those who have all-encompassing shadow of love over their head in

this scorching heat of this world's harsh realities heavens will be below their feet "chhaiyaan chhaiyaan" (translates to) "walk underneath this shadow"

thats just the start of the song according to some website...

  • ironically, I really WANT to like all of Spike Lee's films, but the only one's I like are 25th Hour and Inside Man (his only films with a pre-dominant white cast). I did like When the Levees Broke, but that was a documentary

  • @TheCrisisKings have you seen do the right thing? that's my favorite spike lee movie.

  • WTF like seriously u white people are fuckin rasict comments u fucked up faggots who cares if theres indian music in the movie as an intro the director of the movie put this song cuz he probably enjoys indian music or he likes it so STFU u Jelous fucks........ Dont send me a comment back

  • Great song! Sets the tone for the movie

  • I think Spike Lee is a self righteous untalented stupid arrogant moron, but he did make this and 25th Hour, so he must have something, but it rarely shows.

  • Probally one of the only spike lee movies i really like (besides 25th hour)

  • i don't know a single word of what the song is saying but it is soo dam catchy lol.

  • HiralShah00 IS REALLY A SON OF A FUCKIN BITCH .BEING A ROTTEN INDIAN HE POST HIS FUCKIN COMMENTS ON INDIA

" PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN " YOU FUCKIN RETARDED ASSHOLE

  • HiralShah00 IS REALLY A SON OF A FUCKIN BITCH HAVING MANY RETARDED WHITE ASSHOLE DADS .BEING AN INDIAN HE POST HIS FUCKIN COMMENTS ON INDIA FUCKIN ASSHOLE HiralShah00

  • @ravineel16 Congrats. You've succeeded (once again I feel safe in assuming) in showing the world just how tiny your brain is.

  • Just watched this for the forth time!

  • @HiralShah00 the same curry is now being eaten by people around the world u intolerate piece of shit

the place u come from doesnt even exist on the map asshole

  • @HiralShah00 i like how your usename is an Indian name

  • please do not spoil RAHMAN'S reputation by limiting his music to some Bull shit so called Oscar.

  • brilliant movie.. my God i loved it

  • BUEN FILME Y MUY BUEN SOUND TRACK

  • Mashuu4400 is right, it has more to do with the storyline then you boneheads think, spike lee is a smart man, he isn't going to make the tie obvious, And of course the song is not going to be exactly the same as it's original, Hollywood+anything= unoriginal form,

That other guy had a point too, linkin park and transformers? No correlation, but does it matter as long as it works with the movie? For the most part it shouldn't matter

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS!!! =)

  • Very nice .

  • hollywood+Indofilm not bollywood.

  • i was SO surprised when i heard CHAIYA CHAIYA being played as both the opening and the ending of this movie!! it may not have anything to do with the storyline but it sure go great together. LOVED IT!!

  • @maribel2 It has a lot to do with the story line :)

    Chaiyya Chaiyya - Shadow Shadow

Clive Owen the man who stayed in shadow behind the wall...

    Then he sings about love..

    Denzel Washington and his wife?

It has more in common than you think... :)

  • Confused

  • Composed by Terence Blanchard

  • @BossRP27 Negative. It's A R Rahman.

  • why the fuck did they use this of all songs? it has absolutely nothing to do with anything that happens in the movie. i don't even think i saw a single train pass by through the entire thing.

  • Comment removed

  • @milenainthesky Rofl you think this song is about trains? This song was a great opening song.

  • @Pekeno201 i know it's not about trains. apparently my intentional sarcastic ignorance and my attempt at subtle cynicism didn't come through the way i planned.

  • Comment removed

  • @milenainthesky lol.i.trollyou.com

  • Enjoyed the original version in in the 1998 film Dil Se much better.

  • this is a gr8 movie of owen !!! and yes they bought the rights and the names of singers and music director were duly included in the titles

  • i like this song

  • Spike Lee's the man...

  • dont like the extra horns and shit they added in..... I much prefer the original in Dil Se

  • fucking perfect bank robbery

  • @exxxxtrakokos Are you indian? You berg off biatch i'm saying my fucking opinion You swine you snail skulled lil' rabbit!

  • Comment removed

  • @GringoleboZebulon hahaha you're fucked up man

  • Clive Owen is the man. This, Children of Men , The International, Closer... the guy's definitely making a name foe himself. As luck would have it, one of his co-stars in Children of Men is in this as well, Chiwetel Ejiofor. Keep an eye out for him in the future.

  • Great, great, GREAT movie...

And Clive Owen rules in it. He and Mark Strong will most likely take over after the retirement of Alan Rickman

  • haha!!! in my imagination after clive owen talk, he nod his head and start to dance like in indian movie :D

  • haha!!! in my imagination after clive owen talk, he nod his head and start to dance like in indian movie :D

  • nice mix of cultures even if the movie and song had absolutely no relation!

  • @GringoleboZebulon fuck of this song, it ROCKS!!!!!!

  • i soo cant stop thinking abt the original music video. Song dont go together with the video. argh!

  • The aspect is originally 2.35:1 which is a biatch to convert correctly. At the end YouTube does it's own asspect ratio.

  • soulja boy would have ripped this track

  • "Music by Terrence Blanchard" where did the credit go? I gotta check the end credits..

  • lol was rlly shocked first time i heard this on this movie especially aftr the guy talks and "chaiyyan chaiyyan" starts. lmaoo i stood was like "YAAAA bolly all the wayyyy"

  • And they are dancing between trees....

  • what is the correlation between a love song from a film about Kashmir and a bank robbery movie?

  • OMG!!! Yeaaah a song from the film DIL SE and composed by AR Rahman.

The music only brings to my mind images of SRK dancing, jeje... great!!

  • DIL SE!!!!

  • AR REHMAN+SUKHWINDER SINGH=BEST SONG

  • Proof that AR Rahman deserved an Oscar way before he got one =]

  • i wish i was in the theater when i heard this song.

  • @NJdm392x3 LOL me too buddy

  • this movie describ the life of Rockefeller.

  • @Ashleyjones007

this movie ranks up there mate ... u woun't be disappointed ;) if u havent already seen it offcourse!

  • It's hard to take this intro seriously knowing the polar opposite meaning of the song.

  • @tanakeame The choice of an opening song song, like this, ever so pleasantly surprised me when I went to see it in theaters. It is indeed very ironic that have this in the intro right before a bank robbery when the song itself is about nothing but love. Unusually clever move by Lee.

  • @tanakeame what does it mean?

  • @tanakeame

    INDEED!

  • @tanakeame its the irony

  • @tanakeame Doesnt matter bro. It wasn't meant like that.

  • what is the point of having this song? lol. its a great song though. classic.

  • never understood why Spike Lee put a bollywood song in this movie. but hey what can you say, the guy has taste

  • This movie is very smart, has a lot of twists and turns. And this song just rocks. :D

  • Dude the 16x9 is letterboxed, the letterboxed 4x3 is squished to another 4x3, which is again squished to 4x3 inside of a 16x9 square. What convoluted mess of a program did you upload with?

  • I hope Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi got paid something for the use of this song!!!

  • As with all Spike Lee films you can always expect something different that is very very cool. This song kicks ass!

  • Probably the Best Movie-Intro Ever! But i think Clive owens german Voice is Better than His english one

  • Does anyone know what font is used for opening credits? Thanks a lot!

  • @webpharaon its chaiyya chaiyya, hence the video's name

  • @TheCrisisKings He said font, not song.

  • @apvideogame oh my bad

  • My name is Anthony, pay strict attention to what I say because I choose my words carefully and never repeat myself. I have told you my name that’s the who.

  • This was the best part of the Movie!!!

  • OMG THIS IS A GENIUS MOVIE !!! WATCHHHHHHH ITTTTTTTTTTT

  • this movie had a lot of multi cultural aspects in it. of course spike lee makes real movies and not some fancy bull.....!

  • catchy!

  • watta movie dude!

  • I had also heard this song years ago in a musical play buy Mr. Rahman called "Bombay Dreams" in London.

  • I have no fuckin' idea what there saying in this song but I love it. And the movie.

  • The best movie intro EVER!

  • That is frucking good world music.

  • i loved this song before this movie and even more now because this was the best movie ive seen for a while.

    GREAT TWISTS I RECOMMEND BUYING.

  • Greatest song ever

  • Why this song in this movie it doesn´t fist in a bankrob movie,,LOL...WHY???I don´t undrestand

  • @sandow1000 zomg call zhe police

  • im watch this movie right now

song is stuck in ma head OMG

  • Any one noticed they cleaned up this track , it sounds clearer and more sharp than in the indian movie :)

    CHALLY ! CHAIYYA CHAIYYAH !

  • best move ever made, together with The Usual Suspects!

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of the best movies ever made. simply a master piece ^_O

  • I don't understand why Spike Lee just didn't ask the makers of the song to do an instrumental for his film. Hearing the lyrics and that too for a film on robbery, make no sense. The lyrics are all about one's lover and the movie is about a bank robbery. Am I the only one who finds this weird???

  • @gaiaquest1 I think your looking too much into it because it's a foreign song. Think of other movies that have people singing in English for them. For example the Transformers movies had Linkin Park who made songs that have nothing to do with Transforming robots... see what i mean?

  • @gaiaquest1

    songs pretty awesome thou

  • @gaiaquest1 I too find it quite wierd buddy. But its probably bcoz we r'nt used to english movies playin hindi tracks in the background. And also the context of the song does'nt match wid this film.I think Hollywood has'nt yet figured out how to project Indian culture. They do good wid Chinese stuff and other stuff but not Indian

  • Aspect ratio fail, ftw!

He whose head is in the shadow of love

will have heaven beneath his feet. he

Walk in heaven, walk in the shadow

  • This is what good world music is all about!
