The pin-up model at 3:19 was originally fully nude. Also notice the ending where Bugs appears to mutter something but can't be heard. There was originally audio that had Bugs saying "goddamn bastard" in reference to the mouse. The censors didn't let either of these scenes make it to the final print. The nude scene was re-shot with the model partially clothed, and the audio with Bugs swearing was removed showing only his lips moving.

@LisaK7100 There's actually a conspiracy behind this cartoon and Tom & Jerry's version. One version of it saying that one of the animators or writers that worked for Warner Bros at the time quit and went to work for MGM, taking the script with him. Another saying Technicolor was responsible for leaking this to MGM at the time it was being worked on. WB and MGM both accused each other of plagiarism, and it hasn't been determined which cartoon was created first.

This is a classic cartoon and I agree with the comment that they don't make them like they used to. Really enjoyed re-living it. Tom and Jerry? Never seen it and don't care! This is the one I know and love whether they plagiarised it or not! Great stuff!! Thanks.

I saw this bugs bunny version as a child some 37 years ago. Loved it then and love it now. Today was the first time I have seen it in all that time and I searched it out after telling my children about it when I was playing the rhapsody in the car and that it always reminded me of bugs bunny. Naturally the children asked why. I described the cartoon and amazingly I recall much of the detail exactly, right down to the mouse flicking out to play the top notes and the telephone call when bugs bun
