Nintendo launching the 3DS without 2 thumbsticks just baffles me. It should have had one since the beginning. Sony has been getting crap for having 1 thumbstick on the PSP since they launched the thing in 2004. Why didn't Nintendo learn from Sony's mistake?

@fsmetal The 3DS is a very flawed system in terms of design. Battery life, 1 analogue nub, the sceen being scratched and damaged by the rim of the bottom screen. I think if it wasn't rushed, then Nintendo could have eliminated a load of those problems.

You know, I'm glad that the 3DS is actually getting better accessories and games, but what irks me is when I see the comments like "It's ripping off the Vita!" or "I rather get the Vita because the 3DS sucks!" and blah blah blah! I mean, for the sake of the cupping cakes all over the globe, they should stop with the fanboy-ism and just keep their mouths shut.

But as for the 3DS games, I hope at E3 they reveal when Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Animal Crossing will be released...

Which considering 3DS also had the 249 price point that Vita does right now and it still didn't reach 3DS sales numbers does not bode well for a western release. Though unlike Nintendo, Sony can't change it's portable price this early on, then again any system priced about 249 for a portable is going to surfer. It won't sell well, never really has. Target price is at most 169.99

@kNIGHTWING01 The reason Vita isn't doing too well in Japan is because its launch lineup(which is amazing btw) is geared towards a western crowd. The PSP got tons of Japanese centric titles and as a result the PSP did very well over there. Once they get their Japanese game the PS Vita will do fine over in Japan. Do you actually think Vita is overpriced? Its an amazing price for the hardware and features.

You make a very good point, although that President did a lot of bad things toward the company's software development. He made working conditions difficult to develop games for third parties and insulted Squaresoft. Just so you know.

I liked the philosophy that gaming consoles should be to play games. The PC covers most of other entretainment needs, and only makes them more expensive. But yes, I know. Nintendo lost a lot of third party support in Yamauchi's last years, and that was not good at all.

If they mean end of the year, they mean Nov. To my knowledge no big system release for Nintendo has been in Dec in North America. In order to hit the Christmas season rush, the system would need to be out before Thanksgiving. Now I do know hardware system improved units have released in Dec. But I don't think Wii U will be Dec. My source is pretty sure on a August or Nov release in NA and a June or July release in Japan.
