There is no way you can split a nail like that. You can shoot one nail directly into another at point blank range and it will fishhook. Not enough power and not enough velocity to do what happened in this video. Additionally, think about how far the first nail penetrated into WOOD - not very far. You would have to believe that the second nail had enough power to split steel.

Every nail gun I've ever used requires you to lift the safety bar on the nose of the gun in order to fire it that way. We used to work in a pallet factory and we'd richocet the nails off the concrete floor. The nails can stick if shot like that, but there wouldn't be enough punch to split another nail. In the video the first nail penetrated the wood the same as the nail they portended to split the other nail. Its fake, but the guys acting was impressive.  His reaction is only thing selling this
