  • FIGHT FOR GAMERS RIGHTS

  • awesome trailer this is exactly what we need. if they start fuckin with MMOs anyone wanna start a riot with me? anyway great trailer.

  • Seriously, this is getting ridiculous i am starting to find this pointless i am 15 and i think this is just wasting time and tax payers money.Instead of focusing on something that hasnt even harmed no one which if i could add that the last time a violent act occurred it was from an adult that committed a murder from playing video games.Give us a break we shouldn't have to show ID's to purchase a good like its pornographic or something. Please its just a game i can understand if its AO but M-Rated.

  • Athough I am Canadian, and alas I cannot support you as I wish I could. The way games are sold by the ESRB is tolerable, but could be better. The people at ESRB are not even gamers! Blaming video games for problems on the youth is just an excuse for bad parents not wanting to accept responsibility for thier own incompetence. I have played Mortal Kombat and Doom since I was in elementry and turned out fine.

  • I think this is incredibly important! Even if you're not a video game fan... it just starts with video games, and escalates from there. Freedom to game is freedom for everything!

  • Bitches don't be touching mai games. Mai games touch THEM.

  • You know... this ban could affect the other countries under the ESRB: Latin America and Canada are also regulated by the ESRB or use the system to rate the games so... if they are going to have the government regulate the games, what are the odds that the games recieved in the other countries are bashed like that? Think about it! It's not only in the US! ... my point is that LEAVE THE GAMES ALONE D<

How come the other countries are less violent if they play the same games eh? Go ask them that *D

  • These people are nothing but simpletons. Kids can watch porn, decapitations, and just plain freaky shit on daddy's computer easier than buying a video game now-a-days.

It's the parents responsibility to make sure their kids don't get games... everyone else shouldn't have to suffer because most parents are morons.

  • Fight tha powa!

  • you guys rock

  • w00t! God bless videogames!

  • Fight the power

    protect our games

  • omg was that controller for teh phantom??!?!?!

    RULE 34 ON PHANTOM NAO!!!!

  • Isn't that what the ratings are for? Too many adults play games to use kids as a scapegoat, which is what they generally try to do. Where else can I pick up a prostitute, kill her and take her money afterwards? You don't want me doing that in real life, do ya? lol

  • these are people who are losers! i love games and movies and comic books so does most of people in the us and japan wtf do these people like killing jews and blacks lesbins and gays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • POWER TO THE PLAYERS! Leave our games alone!

  • YA what she said!

  • YES!

  • Ron Paul Voted AGAINST all video game regulations.

He is the ONLY candidate who supports free speech.

    Vote For President Ron Paul

  • Ron Paul also voted FOR voter suppression and AGAINST a woman's right to choose.

Ron Paul: Racist, Insane, Paranoid, Sexist, Psychotic Douchebag. Bad for America, Bad for Americans.

  • Outstanding video. +5 Stars.

  • While I can understand that these people who want to take control of these games, instead of banning games for people, why not pressure the videogame developers to add parental controls to each game created that is violent? That way, games parents could control this, etc. For instance, the game max payne had a parental lock where one could disable blood, speech with adult content, and images with adult content, also.

  • Why? Most systems have that built in. If the parents educate themselves on how to use it, then far reaching legislation would not be discussed.

  • oh you mean like the parental controlls the new consoles allready have built in? that would be a great concept if it wasent allready done.

  • I feel like Sub-zero is next to me i'v got some meany chills

  • Ron Paul will save yOUR game.

    see my video

    watch?v=KeSMdysK7iY

    and fight video game regulation!

    peace.

    fg

  • I am with all of you on this. I am against video game censorship of any kind. I had enough of those Red Coats. They have attacked not only me but also you all. The opposites of the Red Coat is called the Blue Coats. The Red Coats include religious fanatics, government regulators, politicians, and media critics. Video games are not the only thing the Red Coats are attacking now. They are also attacking hip-hop music.

  • Abosuletley to fight for

  • long live to the videogames!!!!

  • haha, WOW, that was a bit over-the-top

  • Where's my musket??

Gotta defend my games against those darned Red coats!

  • I don't understand why we should suffer because lazy parents cant keep an eye on what games their kids are playing so they need the government to do it for them

  • The price of freedom is eternal diligence to protect it..or something like that

  • Because those lazy parents are perfectly OK with the games when they're babysitting their children for them, but suddenly overreact when they see that they bought games for their kids inappropriately and indiscriminately.

  • if u ask me this problem would be more under control if whores stopped gettin fucked and more legitimate parents were in this world we wouldnt have this problem. stupid parents read ESRB ratings.

  • Yes freedom to getting, making, or producing any game no matter your age is protected by the first amendment.

  • The song is Excalibur I think... and yes I agree - video gaming is a protected form of speech!

  • Im all for fighting the psychotic right-wing groups that want to censor anything they dont like, but the video game industry is really losing my respect. Shooting down censorship laws is one thing, but they keep fighting very reasonable laws that have nothing to do with censorship. Not being allowed to sell certain games to minors without parental permission has NOTHING to do with freespeech. Censoship should never be tolerated but age regulation is a good thing that will solve many problems.

  • Evidently half of you don't get it. Your probably the same kind of dopes who read The Onion and keep wondering if its true or not. They OVER DRAMATIZED this piece as a backhand to the game legislation proponents who OVER DRAMATIZE the effect that games have on people, particularly the children (oh won't somebody think of the children!!). They are using the same tactics in a tongue-and-cheek way to get a serious point across.

  • Leave our games alone you fascist bastards!

  • Just wondering... do any of you folks commenting even have kids? Yes, you want to play, but do you have the personal life experience yet to understand the other side of this issue?

  • Of course little kids should not be playing violent or sexual video games. The problem is, that's what the ESRB is supposed to do. If a parent refuses to heed the warning that the game is rated mature and buys it for their 10 year old, they have no right to complain. If these parents would educate themselves about these games, they might not be complaining as much.

  • PRECISELY.

  • Forget Fanboyism, were under attack!

  • Leave my games alone!

  • Leave Video Games Alone!!!

  • LOL, pretty funny that they satired the very thing they are defending.

That aside, Government Video Game Regulation is bull shit. I've been a member of the VGVN since shortly after it launched and I'm behind them 100%.

  • that song in that video rox!! What is it called ? I gatta get that ^_^

  • The music you hear is "Oh Fortuna!" from the first part ("Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi") of the opera "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff.

  • respect!

  • 5 Stars added to favorites and subscribed. I'm already a member of the network and I have taken actions when they send out requests. Don't wait until we are playing what politicians who have never played a game what us to play. Keep Government and lazy parents away from our games.

  • STOP VIDEO GAME REGULATION!!!

  • what about the farsight from perfect dark?

  • folks, make sure to subscribe to this one - that's one of the best ways to get exposure (higher subs = higher chance for others to be made aware).

Spread the word! Whether or not you like the video, you should really look at the cause behind it - we should retain the right to view/create what we want and not be regulated by opinionated government officials.

  • That last past wasn't that good.

    "Stop video game regulation".

  • uhh...yeah unless we all start to have 2 demon heads pop out of our backs they're using games as a scapegoat!!!

    the darkness ftw

  • While I support the idea, I dislike the presentation. Something about the voice-over didn't fit well with the message. I guess I just dislike the idea of a web-trailer (resembling a movie trailer) representing a political message. But I guess it does beat the smear campaigns that are all over television for actual politicians.

  • Hey..is that narrarator the narrarator from Baldurs gate 2 shados of amn? sounds a lot like him.

  • Fight the power!

  • it`s not about kid`s having their fragile little minds warped it`s always been about politicians latching on to something that the kid`s parents know nothing about and having them all join in a common cause with the politicians getting a lot of press and a lot of air time . it`s all about self-promotion and that`s the only reason they all became politicians in the first place, give it twenty years and i`m sure they will have moved on to something else !!

  • Exactly. And to that end, I have created YFG--yourfamilygames -dot- com. I have a lot more articles, buying guides, and reviews to write, but after this holiday season (when the site officially launches) no parent will be ignorant to the fact that video games won't turn your kid feral. I encourange you to check it out, and give advice (LOTS of it, I need it!), please.

I apologize for shameless self-promotion. If it's against the rules, let me know.

  • without games this world will be boring

  • People from all over the world will suppor this

    and rightly so!

  • Great, let's fight back !

  • Terrible ad, great cause. Even if you don't care about video games, you should care about politicians demonizing games to score cheap points and gain power the same way they did with every new medium when it first came out. It really is the same BS they pulled with books, movies, and rock music. The medium changes every generation, but the ignorant demonizing of something they don't understand continues.

  • Want a president who will actually stand up for the bill of rights and your freedom of expression?

    Ron Paul for President!

  • Think of it this way people, I the government had their way, the Godfather, Scarface and Goodfellas wouldn't exist.

  • Well, I could have lived without The Godfather Part 3...

I am just joking. Everyone seems to rag on that one. I have only seen the first.

  • I'm gonna be less than a month too young to vote. Sucks.

  • This is why i'm not voting for Hilary Clinton -.- Anyone who denounces video games in front of stupid parents who've never played a game in their life to get votes is pathetic

  • yeah!!! come on let built a rebellion !!!lol real funny and dramatic!

  • Holy overdramatisation, batman! Are you running for president or are you helping to protect the industry? You sound like you're trying to be a mirror image of the other side!

I hope this is a goof.

  • I, for one, welcome our melodramatic defender of freedom

  • Hilariously melodramatic presentation, good message.

  • I'm surprised this has so few views. I suppose the email wasn't sent too long ago promoting this video. The delivery of the message is a bit overdramatic, but I suppose that is the point and the message is a good one.

  • Excellent. I think this really demonstrates how ridiculous it is to limit developers on what they can create. There's always a target for blame on why violence occurs - Video Games is next.

  • VGVN - Great job with the video! Awsome message - totally gets the point across. I second JMalla314.

  • A little pretentious, but the message is good. :p

  • It's SUPPOSED to be over-the-top

  • No more silly than most game trailers, but that's the whole point...they are trying to get the attention of gamers. I could be without Tipper Gore wannabes telling me what I can and cannot watch, play, and hear.

  • If you let videogames sway who you vote for you're an absolute idiot.

  • What about freedom of speech? That's all this is trying to say - limiting video game development is limiting someone's freedom of expression. Limiting someone's right to choose for themselves what they can create and others in their right to experience media/art/music/entertainment in any form they desire.

Would you like it if someone prohibited by LAW the statement you just made here? Would you like it if someone prohibited you by LAW from looking at or posting your favorite videos?

  • yes

  • If you don't let freedom-of-speech issues sway who you vote for, you're an idiot.

  • I think it brings up a good point about other media being attacked and i think its supposed to be a little ridiculous and over the top, not unlike the politicians that keep going after games as some kind of real threat to society

  • what Jmalla said =P

  • I mean, I'm on this all the way, but that seemed a bit... silly.

  • god damn it isn't there a single piece of political propaganda out there that doesn't make me want to laugh my ass off?
