Brilliant! My favorite side project as well. Have been wondering of late whether they'll do another. It,s been 7 years. Interestingly, when I checked that, the wikipedia page for The Dragon Experience called it cEvin Key's 3rd solo album, although Hiwatt is listed as co-producer. I think of it as being a collaboration, just like Download, or Plateau... He gets billing on the cd cover, so....
Oh does anyone know what the vocal sample from 6:00 is? It sounds like Willem Dafoe but I can't think of which movie. Maybe that one where he was a kidnapper in the forrest?
@kemicon OK I finally found out what the sample is from. It's from a movie called Maniac. "Oh, you're right about them, all of them. They're all the same. I know what they're like. Just because I can't do the things you do doesn't mean I don't see it all the same. "Fancy shmansy," and what are we supposed to do? Sit and smile and say "yes Miss, no miss, not now miss, whatever you say miss?" I know how it is with their hairs and their looks and they... they drive a man crazy!"
Thanks for the upload. But the Dragon Experience aren't boring at all! One could argue that about some of the other ambient stuff (Aphex Twins second ambient album maybe some Bill Laswell joints) but I think there's a lot going on here. When I bought the CD I listened to it for like 3 weeks straight.
One of my favorite songs and album by Kevin Key. I still listen to it in my car ever now and then. Also, Great music video. It fits the song so well. Awesome Job.
This is fucking awesome. The only thing I would have done differently is put something at the end, instead of just cutting to black as the music fades out. Other than that it's perfect.... nicely done!

"these are boring but insanely good song"
wtf???
This is one of the best albums ever. The use of dialogue within the songs really adds a whole new dimension to the already perfect production.
This whole album is a demented, twisted story and very much resembles an opium trip.

Love the music, but really the video. Everyone thinks they're Godfrey Reggio or something.
