John F. Kennedy Jr. was born about a month premature. His father was at the family's Florida compound when Jackie went into early labor (she was not allowed to travel at that stage of her pregnancy because of 2 previous miscarriages). But, miraculously, John, Jr. did not suffer any significant problems at birth other than being underweight. But he was kept in hospital for about a month after birth, which was SOP at the time for premature births.
After Daly called Cerf "Murgatroyd," Cerf said, "Sounds as though you've been seeing 'Camelot' last night." There's a Sir Murgatroyd in the cast of "Camelot," which had opened the night before (Dec. 3, 1960) -- and would later be associated with Kennedy. Little did they know. ... JFK, Jr. had been born only nine days before this WML aired (Nov. 25, 1960). Little did they also know that his third birthday would be the day of his father's funeral or that the baby himself wouldn't live to 40.
the producers of WML sometimes displayed adverturesomeness in guest panelists. All those lady journalists come to mind, authors like Michner and Vidal et al., American politicians --- and here a British political figure.
Gil Fates in his book on WML titled What's My Line? wrote that the production staff subscribed to dozens of newspapers to find interesting people with interesting jobs. The producers liked to bring in people associated with current events.

I wouldn't call it a tragedy unlessf u use the standard greek definition of causing your own downfall, as Junior fought with his wife while piloting the plane to their home and ended up getting distracted and slamming into the side of a cliff. But how about all the people the Kennedy clan took advantage of starting with grandpappy Joe. No sorrow for them, sorry.
yeah it was, i think. whoa... did anybody notice that bennett made a reference to camelot when john called him "murdered troit cerf". it just so happens the mystery guest was the nurse of the kennedy baby. camelot was the myth that was to be used later to describe the kennedy presidency.
Now THAT is creepy weird!!! LOLOL!! Of all the names and fantasy stories that's out there...what are the odds!!
I noticed when I watched this on Game Show Network Bennett Cerf would say sometimes things that related to the guest before the questioning and the audience would laugh because he was partiy right in what he would say. I miss watching this show.

If she died in 2007 then she lived to see the tragic death of John-John. God bless her.

"Who does the baby look like?" is a very interesting question. There are rumors that the real father was Gianni Agnelli.

"Just like a baby" (6:50) - the perfect answer to the question "What does the baby look like?"

It was JFK Jr.
Three weeks before his birth, his father was elected President of the United States.

John called Bennett "Murgatroyd" Cerf to get even with Bennett's mangling of his name. Murgatroyd is an actual name, although a weird one.

a charming clip, but sad too knowing what we know now that they couldn't know then about the tragedies to befall this family including john-john.
btw, WAS bennett ever knighted? for his contribution to the advancement of anglo-american literature, he should have been.
