I am a Dokken fan and I believe that Don fired Jeff Martin because Martin was upstaging his singing. Martin's harmonies were awesome and perfect for Dokken's live shows but I think Don just felt insecure about Martin having such a good voice. It is too bad because I was looking forward to seeing the band perform with Martin as the drummer and he was fired about one week before I was supposed to see them live.
@ejk22 It would'nt matter who was singing with Don! They would sound better! Don's voice is like, Steven Pearcy's, Vince Neil's, Janie Lane's, Axel Rose or Brett Micheal's! None of them have a good voice. Are they good show men? Some yes! Do they write good song's? Again, some yes! Actually, I think Janie Lane is a very underated song writer (artist) But as far as their voice's! Come on, let's be serious! No need to respond! It's ONLY my opinion! Sorry if I hacked your fav!
John Levin has been the best replacement the band has since Lynch!!!!! Period!!!

Jeff Martin is a better singer than Don and he knows it, so i support the theory that he fired him from pure ego. Jeff was stealin the show =p
