  • This if my favorite fucking solo of all damn time! I still get goose bumps when I hear it

  • The only Priest track I like better than this is Steeler. Does this have Glam influence? Sure, but if so, Priest made the best Glam Metal song. Rob's vocals at the end and Glenn's solo and licks made this, imo, the best lesser known Priest song.

Sucks they've never played this live once, they need to perform this for their final world tour, though Rob may not be able to hit the notes today. Would still love to hear it live though.

  • I just read that this should have been on top gun soundtrack...

  • This is a better "hit" than Breaking the Law or Living After Midnight, and yet it's been forgotten.

  • ALL HAIL THE PRIEST OF HEAVY METAL

  • Judas Priest is heavy metal that comes straight from the soul

  • Turbo is the best glam metal album lml

  • I'm pretty sure this song's in Am, but maybe Glenn and K.K. downtuned when they recorded it.

What mode's the solo in? You know?

    Feelin' the shockwaves.

  • @fittingly It's in D tuning (holy fuck best song of turbo ever!!!!!)

  • @Justplayfuckingmetal

Thanks, holmes. But I just picked up my favorite axe again, and tuned it to the piano, and dude, it really sounds like the song's in Am to me.

I'm pretty sure it ain't in Dm. Does this song sound anything like Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley" to you?

  • @Justplayfuckingmetal

Yeah, dude, look, here's what's up: It definitely ain't in Dm.

Set your guitar in standard E tuning, and follow this chord progression:

Am, F, C, G — and the solo key employs an A natural minor mode.

It isn't in Dm, that's for sure.

  • @fittingly Excuse me I was wrong, it wasn't in D tune, but in D# , not D minor of course. I'm sure its the right tune, i tried to play with the song in background and it fits perfectly! Try to tune yout guitar like this: D#, A#, F#, C#, G#, D#, if you're not conviced i'll make a video! :D

  • One of the best songs I ever heard in my life, top 5 for sure! =)

I just LOVE it! The music + lyrics, everything! Gets me motivated !

  • Look out

    I'm throwin' off the sheets

    Awake and kickin'

    Watch out

    I'm really hungry

I'm goin' from here into the kitchen

    It's time for BREAKFAST!

Bacon in hand, a real appetizer

    BREAKFAST!

    Gotta eat before school!

  • @MolotovRooster That is awesome! hahahaah

  • insane

  • Kings of mettall

  • JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER!!!METAL GODS!!!!!........

  • Is it sad that the first time I heard this song is said "This would go great in Top Gun." Then learning what happened..

  • Ppl say this album is more or less "disco" and i have to agree that this is not the Painkiller kinda sound but damn, Judas dont have a bad song at all- they have different songs but no bad ones \m/

  • I feel bad for having failed to discover Priest until 2010 :(

Regardless, I think 18 was a good age to do so. Not too young and not too old.

  • @douchicide I discover them in 2009 at the age of 13 :D

  • @eduardo0796 Awesome!

  • @douchicide I myself found them around 2007, I think I was 12 or something, didn't really start listening to full albums until I was 14. Gonna see them for the first time in April, it's gonna be awesome! Although Halford is not really that exciting to watch on stage, but the voice is still amazing.

  • since 1988 i with them

  • @stefanburger47 you with them?

  • I remember this song wile driving (cruising) around with all my friends on the weekend. I'm 40 and still love this song! This is why I listen to metal.

  • "JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER IN MY HEART!!!

  • @xx2n23 No, the all wanted the song to be on Top Guns soundtrack, but it was to late as the cover was already printed with Reckless mentioned in the track listing.

  • @bashenbrian....Not sure why it took u 1 full year to get a reply from u.....Anyhow, I haven't heard Vince Neil's rendition of Desert Plains.....Thanx man!!! \M/

  • Heavy Metal Rock!!!

  • I really like this song, my opinion is that there is many good ones on the turbo album. Turbo lover was actually the first song I ever heard by Judas Priest. I think Tuobo L. is good, but absolutely not the best one so far. Reckless, for example, is better. :)

    Judas Priest 4 ever! <3 :D

  • JUDAS PRIEST IS MY LIFE, SINCE 1985 !!!!!!!

  • @buenoramses2000 you are old, like me .iam head banger .iam live in mexico city sorry for my inglish seeyou later maybe another life .....

  • sau gasit 11 cocalari infecti care sa dea dislike ...le-as transmite ''sa-i futa cainii in cur da jegosi..."

  • Worst Priest album, but this tune is killer. They should never play Turbo Lover ever again, they should play this one.

  • badass tune this is the ONLY song that keeps the dust off my turbo disc

  • @DetroitMan118 That's right, it's in the book. Shame they didn't let it be there

  • I LOVE JUDAS PRIEST BUT TURBO WAS A POOR ALBUM TO ME AND THIS SONG SAVED IT FROM BEING ONE THAT WOULD RARELY IF EVER GET LISTENED TOO

  • Ron Paul Join The Revolution 2012 !!

  • Such a great song! I'm totally agree with "BlackLeather92" (The top rated comment)

  • awesome song!!!

  • love this solo

  • Some trivia... The corporate heads wanted to put this song on the Top Gun soundtrack but Priest didn't want to take it away from the album. If it had been on the soundtrack it would have been a major hit, no doubt. Still, I'm glad they kept it for the album since it's a great closer and because it also showed they had some integrity about their music in spite of the more commercial sound. Great song.

  • This is the first Priest song recorded in Eb. So if they played it live now they would probably keep it the same unlike the other songs.

  • a response as lately as 3 weeks proves this albums "longevity" as are all priest's works. look at the album cover.... hmmmmmm?? but then close your eyes and listen to the music

  • reckless...like me?

  • I guess I can see why diehard metal Priest fans dislike this album... however, I would never understand any of them not liking this song. This is a shining moment(s) for the metal gods

  • no ONE can stop me now, Im like a human DY-namo

  • i just felt reckless, this is why i went to youtube and klicked this song!!!!!!

the whole world can come and kiss my........... yeah im feeling like im th k*ng of the w*rld..... aaaahhhhhh!!!!! i´m feeling reckless... i just wanted mr. halford to sing it for me today... and i´m feeling....

  • Actually, a left over from Defenders of the Faith. Reason it's so "heavy".

  • I agree, one of the best juda´songs. ..judas priest one of the three best heavy metal bands ever.

  • My favorite on the album! I still luv to hear it. I'll never get tired of it!

  • one of the best priets's songs!

  • "Reckless" is one of my FAV songs on Priest's grossly underrated "Turbo". Ironically, this tune was originally to be included on the soundtrack to "Top Gun", but the Priests turned them down for fear the movie would flop. It didn't however. Had this been included in the soundtrack, it would've been cool.

  • @MrPman851 Yeah, and could been sold probably 2-3 millions copies more.

  • wow this song is so friggin amazing

  • Im a fan of Judas, and for me Turbo and Point Of Entry are better than the superestimated British Steel

  • I love all priest albums. I dont get why Turbo and Point Of Entry are so hated on

  • so fucking 80 s ,it couldnt be better

  • Its good, cool...too "poppy" to be called underrated or a "deep cut".

  • Saw them live in Hershey, PA with Cinderela! My 1st Concert! Was awesome!!!!

  • Turbo is a good album.

Dont know why ppl dont like it

  • @Austrelopitecus Probably because it's more Pop Metal, while most of their other stuff could be considered Power Metal or Speed Metal. It was just such a drastic change to a more commercial sound.

  • love this album

  • Priest on 80's>>>>>>Priest on 70's and 90's

  • @dinizthemxking Priest on 70s>Priest on 80s>Priest on 90s.

  • turbo was a great album, too bad it takes soo much heat sometimes

  • @BlackDiamond77100 i know. turbo lover is the shit. kinda makes me think of kmfdm album covers for some reason...especially XTORT. Out In the Cold is a fantastic song...sounds like the beginning of a Nightmare on Elm Street movie with a pop song of the time. and i can't say enough about Reckless. I heard it was going to be on the Top Gun Soundtrack but was pulled cause it would have taking all attention off the other songs or something to that extent.

  • JUDAS PRIEST TE AmO.

  • 7 people are NOT reckless.

  • I never liked dave hollands drum playing. Too boring and uninspiring. After alan moore, simon and les binks he seemed so meh. Thank god Scott joined the band!

  • @chillichomper Agree totally, just like a drum machine! There again, I gather most of the follow up album, RID, WAS a drum machine. Binks was class and Travis has done wonders since!

  • this a great album, it shows the priest can do it all. very pop but very good. song writing is kick ASS.

  • still don't get it why no video of this song. the solo is quite great..

  • Fuck sales and critics and stay true to the inner feelings dudes! .-)

  • This has always been one of my favorite JP songs. The solo is just fantastic.

  • such a good intro

  • this song is orgasmic

  • One of Priest's best songs. This song kicks your ass and you say "Thank You" and

    play it again.

  • Oh my god! I just found this Priest song and I can't believe they don't play it live. It's a shame. This again proofs how good Priest was in the 80's and in 1990 because of the painkiller album. Superb, absolutely superb!

  • Just fuckin pure metal!.

  • best song of this album

  • best song of this album

  • Priest should be REQUIRED LISTENING for ANYONE to call themselves a METALHEAD

  • @wolfchylde68 it should be a required listening for anyone.

  • @vemund1144 I FULLY agree my friend.....ANYONE who has not listened to the Priest catalog is missing out on a wealth of not just great METAL...but a wealth of great MUSIC period

  • @wolfchylde68 True! \m/

  • Have to agree. This is a tremendously underrated JP song. Always was a great song. Probably a top 20 JP song, and that is pretty good.

  • FUCKIN' KILLER!! FEELIN' RECKLESS!!! YEAH!! LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!

  • jaki chleb \m/

  • i just love those 80s priest riffs, when i heared this song for the first time i was like HOLY SHIT!!!!

    Great!

  • 4 minutes of music running on the edge of perfection...

  • better than the other 8 songs put together!

  • what about K.K. Downing, hes always pretty good?

  • 8 people CAN be stopped because they arent like a human dinamo

  • Glen Tipton..#1 and after comes Gus G...ok ok there r so many greats i can't name "em all')))

  • vote for Glenn Tipton in the Total Guitar greatest guitarist poll in musicradar(dot)com

    Judas Priest rules !!!

  • Mnogo dobra stvar! SRBIJA!!!

  • Fuckin' killer solo. Good tune.

  • 8 Biber, Boy band fans are RECKLESS! This kicks ARSE!

  • @Broughmo Rephrase that please. Sounds like your complementing the 8 people then complementing the song in the next sentence.

  • @Broughmo one of them committed suicide lol

  • The best song ever!!!!

  • This has always been one of my favorite tunes from Priest. I didn't know there was so many other people that liked it as much as me...thank you all......I'm gonna miss these guy's.....who's the 8 assholes that didn't like it?

  • I always get a slight boner when I listen to this intro. :D

  • Truly a gem. It ravished me from this first listening. A big metal surprise. Thanks for posting.

  • IM FEELIN RECKLESS!!

  • This is criminally underrated. One of Priest's best deep cuts.

  • @BlackLeather92 Fucking A man ( No pun intended)

  • AM FEELING RECKLESS GREAT SOLO

  • Kilbo's EYE!!!!!

  • Priest is the best band ever!

  • Priest is the best band ever!

  • You never see this album in stores!

  • The ONLY decent tune from this otherwise forgettable release... I'm a HUGE Priest-fan, but I still remember the look on my friend's face when we first played this record (yes, record) and heard TURBO LOVER come through my home speakers... We thought the rest of the record would get better, but it got worse! Only this tune is worthy of the Priest name IMO...

  • @TheMaxturner totally agree with you, what happened to the guitar sound on this album??

  • @TheMaxturner out in the cold and turbo lover are fun songs also bro but yeah this one is def the heaviest from turbo

  • @TheMaxturner Reckless was the best on this album followed by Turbo Lover,, Locked in , Out in the cold & the later released All fired up

  • @TheMaxturner Ah c'mon, Locked In is a nice song aswell...

  • far too underrated band.....

  • This song is totally BadASS? Are you kidding me only 132,093 hits. Theres something wrong with the youth these days. No taste for great metal music. Come on. GET RECKLESS!

  • @sinfulsxx stop saying that kids don't listen to good music before I sue all of you.

    I'm here aint I ?

  • @cubbya3p Contact me if you need an Attorney? You are Reckless. Keep on rockin Dude!

  • @sinfulsxx exactly

  • @marchingeagle987 Rock on!

  • Incredible intro to the song and intensity!

    Great chorus... But the Solo...

It's one of my favourite top 3 gutiarsolos!!

    Fretwork from hell! :D

  • 7 people missed the like button

  • 7 People aren't reckless.

  • Best song from turbo. no doubt bout that. great mix of heavy metal riffs with melodies. this song is worth listening just for the guitar solo, let alone the beautiful riffs and memorable melodies and both verse and chorus as well.

  • I use to like Motley n poison as a kid, while my much older brother liked Priest n Maiden. It wasn't until I became a musician that I too prefer bands like Priest. Maiden, n Metallica. He always played guitar so he was there before me, n it wasn't till I got better as a musician for me to appreciate good music.

  • @Turnitup211man why don't you listen to both, i listen to Priest and Maiden but i also like Motley Crue and Poison and i'm a musician too

  • @shawndixon13 I do listen to all metal. I guess what I meant to say was that at a much younger age I didn't get the heavier side of metal until I started to play the music. I really respect the fact that U like these bands, since ure so young. Most 18 year old nowadays dont know much about these bands. Thumbs up...

  • I don't see why Turbo has hate towards it. I really like it.

  • @BlanFan2O A real Priest fan may not like TURBOS sound over lets say: PAINKILLER but should be more bothered by the lost years after Painkiller when they couldve put out some great stuff but disbanded! Priests worst album was: RAM IT DOWN! Priest threw together a shallow album made up mostly from UNUSED TURBO SONGS! Most of the songs were about, singing songs. It was a Kiss album. Priest always had a more cerebral type of material except for RAM IT DOWN!

  • @bobisdark Are you serious? Painkiller is just a copy of Ram It Down! how can you say Ram it sucks? you're an idiot, Judas' worst album can be Demolition ot Jugulator

  • @chaclapa Wrong. Demolition and Jugulator are great albums.

  • @bobisdark haahhahaah what a joke

Ram It Down is ye far one of the greatest albums of the band.

  • Most underrated Priest song of all time.

Feel like flying a 737 when I hear this.

  • @SuperJS1974

I feel like ejecting at Mach 2 from a F15.

  • @SuperJS1974 oh! ya!

  • @SuperJS1974 i actually used to skip this song but i'm playing it like it came out last week, just like old times, '71 cutlass g-60's cragar ss mags, thrush muffler (pissed the neighbours off)...........anyways carry on.

  • peder ko ovo sluša

  • Fuck all this hate for 'Turbo' man....this album showed ...AGAIN...how diverse an animal Judas Priest can be...how broadly they could expand heavy metal's parameters and KEEP it heavy...sure, it can be argued that "Hot For Love" or "Wild Nights, Hot And Crazy Days" may not be their most PIVOTAL tracks ever written (granted, there are FAR better in their repertoire), but THIS track!?? Fuck man...the solo ALONE has enough energy to fuel a goddamn space shuttle....dig it.... :D

  • @TheSetibevol88

exactly! judas priest is the most versatile band ever. no band has changed so much without completely selling out or going downhill without recovering. i never understood why turbo and ram it down were so poorly reviewed. ram it down is my favorite judas priest album along with painkiller.

  • Next to "Ram It Down" The "Turbo" album is the most underrated album of all time. Sure it sounds like a typical glam metal album but Judas Priest perfected the sound. Not to mention if you take away the synth and effects, it's just as heavy as any other Priest records out there. If you don't believe me, check out thier most recent live shows and watch them perform the classics and you'll know what i'm talking about

  • I was fortunate enough to have a Priest fan father. This is one of the albums that got me interested in such a great band. I'll treasure this CD forever.

  • Turbo is damn great album, full of great hard rock tunes, no matter if there are synth guitars, it just sounds awesome!

  • the guitar solo in this song fuckin rules

  • Are Judas Priest the Heavy Metal Gods? I sure think so. They showed the world how to bang their heads.

  • i really dont like judas priest that much but i love this song!

  • @slash9624 ¿so?

  • no one stop mee im humane dinasour!!!

  • @sinbysin666 Dynamo- you stupe!

  • great song even better album every song on turbo is good! this band opened the door 2 heavy metal! gay or not rob halford is one of the best singers around!! if u like this u should check out primal fear sounds just like this

  • @bashenbrian yer primal fear and judas priest FTW!!!

  • @MetalSEGAKid1990 wat does that mean?

  • @bashenbrian I doubt Primal fear sounds anywhere close to anything Priest has done!

  • @jjjxxx777 check out primal fear-metal is forever then tell me that doesn't sound like judas priest

  • @bashenbrian Karioke Priest imitation,maybe. HaHaHa!

  • @jjjxxx777 did you lisen? their singer was the second choice to replace rob but they picked the ripper. i think this singer would have done better than the ripper.no one can sound just like rob, but he is pretty close.

  • @bashenbrian I say he sounds more like Ripper.
