  • I totally agree. Chopstick is not Filipino. Come on.

  • i have no problem with the wine but the chopsticks was really tacky & fake

  • i agree w u guido :( but not bad nice concept filipino cuisine is not easy to introduce its a big challenge :D

  • i like his style. its new and brings in some filipino food.

  • you always have to adapt to where you are and be able to cater to your customers.. you can lose customers because you dont have a certain item in your menu and so they have wine, which the customers like to enjoy with their food. while i agree with the lambanog or beer with my food, its not like you can easily come across "authentic" lambanog in the states either.

  • wyl i agree we dont use chopsticks, m guessing the owners wnted to really make the people feel the "asian" vibe of our cuisine nd alot of westerners relate chopsticks to that so but thats besides the point.. what about the food? sure its not authentic but its definitely filipino. the reason they use garnishes, different plating styles, different techniques for serving etc is because theyre serving our food at an international scene and u have to admit that we arent as concerned about plating

  • loser

  • Two words SELL OUT

  • @rdf7777 exactly

  • racist mo fos

  • every cuisine is like a art you can twist it with style pair it wine or beer! like a tuba or lambanog my dad pair it with beer any pinoy dishes!! improvise the dish!!

  • Way to promote the Filipino culture using chopsticks!

I hate the bastardization of our food.

This is a slap in the face of our culture and heritage.

They dress up our food the French way with garnishes, small plates, it's rediculous and laughable.

Another way the Filipino culture is selling out to the Americans.

The white whore is abnoxious with her loud mouth.

The wife with her fake smile.

kalamansi, the "tropical dwarf lemon" it's like saying, Filipinos, "the tropical dwarf Asian."

  • @geishasecrets I partially agree with what you say, but it really weakens your argument when words like "ridiculous" and "obnoxious" are spelled wrong. I'm a little iffy on the chopsticks (why use that when we almost always use a fork and spoon?), but overall the food, though really Westernized, is quite delicious looking.

  • How is the Dog dish prepared?

  • chop sticks NOT. please keep it real and use a spoon and fork.

  • wheres the famous adobo, pancit, sinigang, and lumpia?

  • Mga gago kyo, it's America so wine is very acceptable with filipino cuisine, and why chop sticks? Because they dont wanna use their hands, mga baboy kyo.

  • @jerrynicolas You're so funny~ Food and Culture expert po ba kayo? Sommelier po ba kayo? anong alam ninyo about wines and wine paring? Intindihin nyo po muna ang mga tanong bago ninyo sagutin at intindihin nyo po muna ang situasyon bago kayo mag-react.

  • i like it. very diverse. and lets not hate about the chopsticks. come on guys. you think westerners would actually use their hands so we can call it "authentic"? i guess its safe to say that this is more of filipino fusion food. for we dont use korean spices. but other than that props to the owner! as for the wine? well, a lot of americans drink wine and i guess its more for the elevated dining experience. props props props. im visiting one time this weekend. ^_^

  • we do not use chop sticks

  • What's up with the chop sticks? That is not autentic Filipino. Kamayan or kutsarat tinidor dapat. Talking about drinks, I rather go with Lambanog and other mix with it. Wala naman tayong wine sa pinas e, tuba pwede pa. i just want to share the autenticity of Filipinos and our culture.Modernise is not for us, or else we will eradicate our good traditon, culture and originality, then we will become like ordinary and no recognition in the world.Sana nationalista ka gaya ko, maka bayan kahit may lahi

  • @niceguido I don't know what is wrong with appreciating fusion cuisine. I think the food looks great, not authentic definitely but hey, I don't care. There are a lot of authentic Filipino restaurants, life is about options, who are you to tell us what to eat, and how to eat it. You have such a narrow minded view of the bigger world. And frankly, I'm embarrassed for your attitude towards other Filipinos.

  • @RedRidingDude Read again my comments DUDE! Who told you what to eat? What , you can't take opinions? No offense, your opinions tell who you are.

  • nakaka-gutom! hehe!

  • modified filipino food! looks very yummy and appealing... Goodluck! I wish more people in america and all over the world would appreciate our dishes like they did with japanese, chinese and thai food.

  • I dont think Filipino's use Peking Duck

  • why are you eating with chop sticks, please stay true to our tradition of fork and spoon.lol

  • @rdf7777 yeah i notice that to , as you can see our culture is mixx with so many culture as well as we can see in the food, the aim of this restaurant is to intruduce some new food not culture , with a modern twist as you can see they also serve wine, which is very different many other restaurants, but as far as i can see theres a great into for the filipino food to be known around the world

  • yummyyyy,,, love filipino cuisine,,,, miss soo muchhh!

  • I heard that one of their dishes involves animal blood...

    Is that true?

  • @jellyjigglerman yea its called dinuguan u make it sound to taboo lol most cultures have their own culinary use of animal blood

  • filipinos dont use chopsticks traditionally

  • wow, these are the kinds of people that makes me really proud as a Filipino, hehehe you guys will serve as my inspirition in reaching my dreams in becoming a restaurateur myself, and someday open up my own bistro, thanks

  • food looksgood but yah it is very westernized style. how can they go on tasting the food without rice? rice is our staple and eat with everything.

  • This restaurant is a western themed style Filipino food. The only menu here closest to the traditional filipino food is the crispy pata. The rest has some westernized kick to it.

    The place looks great though.
