To answer your question about the football hold, only when they are bigger and chubby and more durable. Newborns are just too floppy and little... the ONLY way tandum worked for me was that huge pillow. Good luck!
@mikaelmonson oh i see...my daughter was the perfect fit with her head in my palm and her butt in my elbow crease, i used the football hold all the time on her when she was newborn, thats why i thought this method would work well here...thanks for clearing me up though!
You are the only woman who I found so far on youtube that actually shows a great, and easy to understand, way to manage breastfeeding twins. I so appreciate this and hope that other women will share their twin breastfeeding tips like you did so we can see how super moms like you all do it! :)
THANKS!! When I was expecting my twins I was already so excited, how it'd worked... Well, I'm still successfully nursing them, which are now 8 months. I just used my regular nursing pillow from my first child and it was perfect. Only difference: I've always sat down carrying still 1 baby and the second I took up from the couch after. Of course the second was always the smaller! Thank you once again for this video, that helped me to start with less fear! BEST WISHES TO ALL MUMS OF TWINS!
Thank you for posting this! This is awesome. I'm expecting twins within the next month and have been wondering the logistics of how to get them both on the pillow safely, especially when I'm home alone..I'm definitely going to try this!
Thank you for posting this - that was very helpful. I've nursed each of my three children but am now expecting twins. This has helped me get my mind around a system - will definitely invest in one of those pillows.
Thank you for such a helpful video! Ditto the other comments - I'm due with twins next month (also on bed rest), and have been anxious about tandem feeding. Haven't seen or read anything so helpful!!
Wigglywoman, when I made this movie my babies were older and had outgrown the pillow... and I didn't feel very comfortable borrowing other people's newborn twins :) So the dolls worked great!
Also, this video wasn't meant to teach moms how to get the baby to latch on, but just to give people an idea how to manuever the twins on and off the pillow without any help. I also didn't want to show my boobs to the world :)
Thanks for posting this video! It was very informative. I'm 6months pregnant with twin girls and i am on bedrest. And my biggest worry after birth was, "how am i going to breastfeed both babies at the same time!" This answered a lot of questions and seems very realistic. Where did you get that pillow from?
stepandfrank- I got my pillow from a multiple moms club in my area. But you can find it online! Just google "twin nursing pillow", that should get it for you! Good luck, it is definantly a MUST HAVE
I absolutely loved my breastfeeding pillow. I used it for about 9 months (more or less). I continued to breastfeed my son and daughter until they were 18 months old. I loved it and cryed when we stopped. The dr. recommended quiting since we are going to try for another. Yes, twin breastfeeding is a lot of work (schedule, schedule, schedule!!!), but the rewards are worth it!! Double blessings to all breastfeeding moms of two!!
Great! Thanx a lot for this video! that was what I was searching. I was always wondering how to get them both being alone at home... It's a pity that the audio is so bad though. I can't get everything you say. Can it be bettered? It'd be useful. But thanks again!
I am not sure how to make the audio better... I had a bad cold when I made the video so I am sure my voice was a little more low and muffled than usual. Basically everything I am doing visually explains it, but let me know if you have questions!!! It is a lot of work, but is SOOO worth it :) good luck!
That was really informative! Thanks so much : ) I am due in April, and have no idea what I'm doing. It really helped to see it all explained in detail. Thanks!
Most helpful tutorial we have ever seen!!! Thank You!

"while my husband slept...".. Wow, I wouldn't think of sleeping through a feeding. You're an all-star. :)
Good video.

Great video! This is similar to how I did it when my twins were newborns. And I agree; the EZ2Nurse pillow (or similar) is a must!

You will definantly need a twin nursing pillow. The Boppy is useless for tandum feeding! Good luck :)

BTW, is that a twin nursing pillow? If so, do you recommend those, or a regular Boppy/Brest Friend? Thanks!!

As a mother myself many may be asking why you did not use real babies instead of dolls?
