  • @akguitar94 When you join the Army, you get whatever the hell mos you WANT, unless you fail out of the school. Then the Army can reclass you into whatever it wants to.

  • "Sure, we want to go home. We want this war over with. The quickest way to get it over with is to go get the bastards who started it. The quicker they are whipped, the quicker we can go home. The shortest way home is through Berlin and Tokyo. And when we get to Berlin, I am personally going to shoot that paper hanging son-of-a-bitch Hitler. Just like I'd shoot a snake!"

  • Great vid. Great music.

jlharter is a defeatist fool, how do you fight islamist "terrorism" more direct than taking out one of its base (Afghanistan) or support and future base (Iraq)? And: "No blood for oil" ->bullshit, you want all the oil reserves of the world in the hand of islamists and fascists, while it is still the lifeblood of the economy and the free world depends on it?

Thank you USA for (sometimes at least) protecting liberty and justice in the world! Nobody else does that.

  • Ha there is LT Kyle my old platoon leader!

  • Bush and the radical republicans are using terrorism as propaganda for an economicly imperialistic agenda.

Bush publicly admits that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but he still used that horrible event as propaganda for his war on Iraq.

Trying to control parts of the world to fight this 'organization' is completely illogical.

If they really wanted to fight terrorism, they would fight it directly.

  • one of the best army videos on the net please can u tell me what is the name of the song???

  • Rolling Stones...paint it black

  • wow...italians soldiers.....yeah.....great!!!

  • i was there in july. 2002 to jan 2003...a. co. 1/505 pir. great fuckin times.

  • My brother was there with the 82nd from Dec 02-Aug 03, with the 2-504 BAS (Physicians Assistant-former Green Beret)! He came home, then a few months later left for Iraq. Both he and my SIL are leaving for a 15 month tour in Iraq in the very near future. My other bro is now at Ft Riley after being with the 82nd for 17 years! Can't wait for them both to retire.

  • Looks like 3/4 ADA never went outside the wire and pirated other units videos instead...

  • From Paratroopermike;

If I weren't all tore up from my stint in the 82nd. back in the 80's, I want all you troopers to know I'd be proud to serve again along side of you now. Everyone of you in the 82nd. in these two conflicts have done all us "old timers" proud.

  • Cool vid. I was with 3-504 then too. C co. Nice shots of the PX on fire! HA!

  • some of this was taken while i was there with 3/504pir, great video.

  • funny how this is suppossed to be footage of the 82nd airborne and the night combat jump footage is from 19Oct2001, and there weren't any 82nd guys on that drop, it was all Rangers. Other than that good video.

  • 82nd airborne did a combat jump in northern Afghanistan. It was classified for a year though

  • When exactly? I was on the DZ for the jump when a platoon from the 82nd was strap hanging with a company from 2/75 RGR. It was a bogus jump, daytime, show of force and the DZ was completely secure when they jumped. Im anxious to hear your reply about when this supposed "Classified" jump took place.

  • During 1st Brigade's tour in Afghanistan, 70 soldiers from B Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in conjunction with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, conducted a combat jump into western Afghanistan. This was the first combat jump for the division since the United States invasion of Panama in 1989, but was uncelebrated as it remained classified for over a year.

  • Yeah I was there also. You may wear a mustard stain for it but we all know it was no combat jump. Oh by the way, it was just as classified as eveything else that happens in the GWOT. This was no secret. If you ever want a .wmv of your "combat" jump, let me know I have great footage. you can even hear our controller say over the radio "winds are calm, clear to drop". BTW, your first post said northern AF, then in your reply it was in western AF, WTF?

  • sorry it took me a while to respond lol but It was western I dont know why i said northern.

  • lol that was my old unit......3rd platoon Bco 3/504PIR...and yes it was a bullshit combat jump

  • My brothers beein to afghanistan once and he's headed back.. -- 82nd airborn ranger -- Major respect for people dropped on a hot spot with what they have on them to take it over and hold it!

  • Hey man great to see that video again had some good and not so good times over there huh elias, but i would do it again no problem. The quote at the end says it all, great quote if i do say so myself, Peace!

  • Thanks for sharing this great vid. My boyfriend is in the 82nd and heading to afghanistan around February, so this was interesting to watch. Thanks!
