It is quite obvious Coldplay was first to make the chord progression, but damn, i started laughing when i first heard it. Almost like the new rock roll. New Order are on of my favorite bands, so is Coldplay. No need to bash them.

Seeing as this is Bad Lieutenant and this session's from either 2008 or early 2009 I'm guessing the Coldplay reference with the rhythm at the start was intentional - seeing as both songs share a common chord progression.

The best acoustic arrangement I've heard of this song , much better than Frente's version.

FYI The earliest acoustic version was done by Devine & Statton in 1989 but that is very rare and, IMHO, pretty unlistenable.
