good question ....i havent noticed a difference..i tried to get the lightest rims in that size range so not to put more stress on the trans and engine... however the better tires has definetly givin me better handling and acceleration off the line
its better a bit more responsive ..however to get more power i would recommend a turbo or get engine work done ...road race motorsports online has allot of engine parts that will help give it more power some items are a bit costly but it will make the lancer faster..its a heavy car so trying to lighten is up helps ..i gutted the trunk and when we go tracks my son and i yank out the passenger and back seats for aded weight loss
you right its not reall heavy but considering the power to weight ratio lightening it up always helps .....120hp engine can make a 2500 pound car go faster then a 2900 pound car ...basic physics lol

@MrFrankwun yea a 69 stang. Bought the shell, did all the work together - paint, building up the engine, wiring, interior, etc. I dont know what was with me when i first commented. I must've had a bad day lol. I didnt realize it was a father/son build. I have actually grown to love imports. Right now i am working on the internals of my is300 that i plan on throwing a turbo in. Im kinda right between the v8s and the 4 bangers now lol. I love my inline 6 though. 2jz's are amazing engines.
one of my closest buddes owns an is300 he just got a carbon fiber hood and a new cat back system ...the first cat back system he had didnt sit straight and kinda rattled ...so he got a better on ...he is serously thinking about either dropping and turbo of doing serious engine work ....there are allot of is300 around her thought not many are built to its full potential . He is hopoing to be one of the first on this island to get his built up ....

Id like some help with my 2002 oz rally so far i only have an exhaust and intake, im looking at getting a turbo but my engines mileage is at 138k so im thinking an engine rebuild then turbo but is it worth turbo charging you think since its front wheel drive idk if i should put the money into it, but i really love my car

we wanted a carret t25bb turbo ....if tuned right it should get about 210 hp .....however my son and I have decided to keep the lancer as it is ..he is saving up for a 90 - 95 300zx ...and that will be our next project car ..its a v6 and should be able to get more power .....we still will tune the lancer but we dont plan on dropping any more big dollars on the lancer at the moment

first thing we did was put an intake .. the local pep boys shop should have the parts for you to make one ...its added about 6 hourspower and made the engine bay look less stock ...exhuast it good but will probably cost about 3 bills at least.... hAVE fun give it your own style i painted the dash yellow on my sons car ...that costed only aobut 10 bucks for the paint

yes i lowered te\he car believe it or not i got adjustable coil over springs online for about 80 bucks shipped !! i got them at a 2 inch drop now ...to take the spoiler off open the trunk and under the lid you will see the bolts to loosen

those are called vortex finx just search under google ...get the black ones the cost about 25 $ and are easy to install ...they help guide the air to your spoiler at high speeds. they add a nice touch to any sports car ..

i hear it runs around 18s ...i got it down to low 17s im planning on adding headers to get mid to high end power and help with my top speed i hope to break into the 16s with that addition ..we will see lol
yes i took her to the track best time so far is 17.30 ..i do have an intake , test pipe , and catback exhaust system . i pulled the spare tire out and some of the padding to lighten the car .....its farily zippy and great on gas .....im planning on dropping a garret turbo system into her for some real power increase !!
