  • Hey, your hair is really nice. What products do you use on a daily basis? Or how do you wrap it at night?

  • how to tighten the curls?

  • como apertar mais os cacheados?

  • Wow this is awesome autumn~!!! Keep up the good work. Check out my vids! haha

  • I've never been able to get the hang of flat twists but you may have solved my problem! Wish I had seen this video before I struggled to cornrow for tomorrow's braid out. Love your hair, and even though I'm relaxed, your tips help a lot!

  • you looks beautiful,take care sunshine ; )

  • thanks!

  • What are your regular products, by the way? Your hair looks so healthy.

  • Wow, I struggle with flat twists and cornrows and you finally make it look easy. I will have to try this once I wash my hair out. Any tips for transitioners? Should I just rubberband it on the ends to keep in from unraveling?

  • omg, i love you!

i was doing what i thought was a flat twist,

but i was doing it so wrong.

    thank you!!!

  • Your hair came out great I just finishing twisting my hair for the first time hopefully it comes out right in the morning

  • O_O can't see the name of the product! O_o

  • i was wondering do you blow dry first or should it be wet

  • I LOVEEEEE the end results of your style!!

However, I tried this after blow drying my hair and it came out a big puffy mess. It did have the wave pattern but it was veryyyyyy big and messy looking. Any tips?

  • thank you SOOOOOOOOOO much!. your video was the first one to actually tell me how to achieve a flat twist. i experimented with a small portion of my hair and actually had it stay...for a little while lol. i need to find something with great hold because i want my hair to lay down. this was great. i appreciate it : )

  • wow! i never knew how to do flat twists. i really needed another style. thatnk you so much!!

  • Thank you so much!! I never knew how to do flat twists until I saw your vid today. It really helped..the way you explained things. I am saved lol

  • I cannot believe it!!!

your tutorial helped me more than any that I've seen. I didn't know how to flat twist my hair and now I do. Thanks a bunch!

  • OMG! u saved my life I thought the only way to get this look was to cornrow to the scalp(which i cannot get right to save my life) Thank You so much for posting this!!!

  • this is a good tutorial. i like how you explaied how to add the hair.

  • Thank you so much...My friends have been trying for years to get me to post a how to video but it wasn't until I saw you videos that I really became motivated to do it... so THANKS A BUNCH!

  • i just wanted to say i love you i love i love you, you helped me so much

  • I love your hair, you may have answered this in a previous video, how long have you been a natural girl and what inspired you to go natural?

  • This video has changed my life. I used to spend almost three hours doing individual two strand twists. Now, I spend twenty minutes doing flat-twists. I twist mine the same way you would do cornrows. The look comes out nice. I use a curl cream for definition. Very nice look!

  • Thank you so much. Because of your tips I have the most beautiful curly twisted hair the next day and it only takes 15 mins. yeah!!! I get lots of pos feedback. Thanks again

  • You look pretty similar to a sistah who was up on here called NAJAHFACE!?

    Anyway GREAT vids- subbed!

  • hm...i'll have to try this look, i usually do single twists and that takes a while..

  • The single twist take hours, but when I found this style I could get the same look with HALF the time. It is wonderful!

  • This video helped me tremendously. I always had to do individuas, have a friend do my flat two strands or pay for it. I really didn't understand how to do them until this video! Thanks so much!

  • I love your hair! and BTW I've met your twin.

  • Do you stretch & dry your hair before you do this?

  • Nevermind. I got the answer in video #2

  • shinnyyyy :)

  • I dont understand how you get it to stay. The only way I can get it to say is if I do a little braid, but that's a different curl than the rest of the hair.

  • if your hair is natural, your twist should not unravel because of the natural curl pattern.

  • Well it does. Not completely but it doesnt stay tight so the curl doesnt look defined enough.

  • which product do you usually use? sometimes i use shea butter and sometimes qhemet biologics amla and olive cream which helps define hair even more.

  • Hmm, well I usually will use a moose or gel and sometime wild growth oil or jojoba. Maybe I should try something different. Thanks for the idea.

  • Okay, I have a dumbass question so try not to laugh. Does anyone know what the hell a pomade is? I bought it from Sally's for the helluvit. I mostly use it for shine.Proclaim Crystal Ice Smooth Styling Pomade is the name of it. I don't like gel, so I'm thinking of trying this with the pomade instead. I practiced flat twisting my hair and they always look a hot mess lol. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, I'm new. But I'll try this style after my next wash.

  • I've been looking for a product or style to make my curls more defined and I think this might work. Thanks for the idea.

  • its wax

  • Great tutorial, I was a bit discouraged when I tried your cornrow out syle and it didn't work for me (I can't cornrow well, plus you do have the disclaimer lol!) But flat twisting large sections is something I can do:-} Have you tried this style on wet hair? I am going to try it on dry hair (dampened with product) and wet hair and see which I prefer.

  • Nevermind my question, you answered it in your results vid :}

  • what aloe vera gel do you use?

  • Your hair looks so gorgeous and u r also very beautiful. I take it u wear your hair out a lot so how do you keep it detangled??

  • It was my first time doing the flat twist and it turned out okay. I'm going to play with the style a little more I really liked the way yours turned out. :D

  • I was wondering...I don't using gel. Do you think the shea butter and leave mix will work fine. I have type 3b hair....by the way I love your vids :D and your hair is gorgeous!!!!

  • Thank you :)

I think you should try different products.. that's the only way you'll learn what works :)

  • do you use any particular aloe vera gel?

  • I don't like gel either; but, I like aloe vera gel (AVG). In case you haven't tried AVG ~ it's nothing like regular hair gels like IC Fantasia, etc. It's lighter weight, watery, clear, nourishing & doesn't make your hair crunchy. Go to lilyofthedesert site & click on green "the aloe vera story" tab for more info. Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe & GNC carry it. AVG is a dietary supplement; so, make sure it's unflavored. I buy the organic whole leaf aloe vera gel ~ not the kind that's been dyed green.

  • Thanks :)!!!!!

  • Hi, would you say it works better than regular gels, and does it hold better like gel? : )

  • aw ya kinda lost me there :) I'm not sure what ya mean, but I'll take it as a compliment!

  • @curlychronicles She means that you look Indian.

  • @curlychronicles fyi, the person meant mixed with indian. dunglo is the name of people from trinidad mixed with indian and black (i.e. Tatyana Ali from Fresh Prince). cooley is the name of people of indian descent from jamaica. i don't believe dunglo is derogatory but indians from jamaica take offense to the term cooley. i'm jamaican btw.

  • @curlychronicles cooly means mixed with indian or dougla---in the caribbean--for some countries it means chinese n black mix also.

  • i think ladylishus wanted to know if you are mixed black & east-indian 'cooley' or 'duggla' as they say in the west indies.

ladylishus you don't need to be mixed anything to have gorgeous hair like curlychronicles!! i'm dark-skinned black and after taking good care of my hair and using natural products my hair is just as long as hers. don't be fooled! our black hair CAN grow long without perms!! anyway keep up the great work and you are beautiful!!

  • Say it gurl!!!!

  • ok so i did my hair and discoverd that i CAN NOT flat twist...lol i looked crazy BUT i did the twists anyway and in the morning it still came out looking really nice...not as nice as yours bbbbuuuttt with practice i know that it will get better...thank you so much for your tutorials/tips i really want to start wearing my hair this way now =)

  • ok so i have been watching this video over and over and im taking a big risk by attempting it and wearing it to work tommorow....you hair came out so nice though hopefull i wil be ok

  • Thank You!!!

You really are awesome, Im getting some many ideas from you. I love your vids!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!! Thanks for sharing this information. Woot woot!

  • I love this hair style. I'm wearing this all the time when I get back to school.

  • I am delighted that you shoiwed us this hair style and it is not a political statement

  • I was so excited to try this and I flopped! ;o( I'm going to try it again. I just couldnt get the whole twist & adding steps together. It came out kinda similar but my hair was clearly not like yours.

  • Gotta try this! Perhaps this is my answer to protective night styling ;-D

  • curlychronicles - very intresting. You know I'm going to try this tonight!

  • Yes! Very nice alternative to doing "flat twists"!!! It's kind of difficult to do regular "flat twists"--but these "Autumn Twists" seem pretty do-able! I can't wait to give it a try!!!

  • It's like a french braid only a twist! I love it!!

  • You're right lol, I have no idea what to refer to them as..they're very messy flat twists.

  • I too have never seen twists that way - but DAMN... it looks so much easier and the result is so much better than "flat twists."

Those are Autumn-twists! lol I can't wait to try this. Thank you for sharing!

  • Thanks! Yea these are my own version because I can't do regular neat flat twists at all lol but it works out nicely!

  • That is why I love this video b/c I feel the same way. I have just twisted my hair tonight (as shown in the vid). I hope it looks good in the morning. I'll let you know tomorrow.

  • I love this hair style! I ened up doing it on five day old hair lol... My hair is shorter than yours so I pined the sides up and let a cute little curlly band hang out at the front (you may have a picture up of your hair like that already, lol)

  • I can't stand Jasons. I bought their stuck up wax and started looking up the ingredients that was in it, on the internet and their really not that natural. Alot of their product ingredients are questionable.

  • yeah, i think that's why i don't like using them as much..they have some natural ingredients but I think they may be overshadowed..they don't really make my hair feel that great which is why i've tended to mix them with other things lol

  • I love aloe vera gelly. I use it as a leave-in-conditioner all on its own.

  • I've never seen flat twists done that way. I'm used to seeing it being twisted on the head.

    Cool though.

  • For real. I think I might try that next time I wash my hair.

  • Ditto! I can't wait to try it!

  • You put a lot of effort into making your a hair beautiful. 5 stars.

  • thanks :)
