This movie exposes soldiers for what they are, human beings that are tools to the governemt. They get used to do the sucky shit when the government needs it, I mean the guy sums it all up in one line "Fuck Politics, we're here now". Also, I thought it was insightful the way they showed how they barely did anything and when they got home hailed as heroes. But didn't feel that way cos they knew the truth.

Unfortunately, and as bad as I hate to say it, the trailer was better than the movie itself. There was absolutely no war scenes whatsoever and the only action I saw was the platoon jacking off to their distant girlfriends. If you want to see a good war movie, with tons of action, watch "The Expendables."

This is the best movie ever! I remember when I saw it in 2005. I hated the "shit bird" mentality. After you have been in for an enlistment and a half you see how monogamous the military becomes. You feel the time you served has no self worth and things like "adapt and overcome" become excuses.

I think the other Jarhead trailer you uploaded here is better than this one - the selection and combination of scenes seem to be more thought-out in Jarhead (2005) Trailer 1. Besides, they could use a different song. That's why this trailer has something of a chaotic repetition.
