I atually didn't hear anything....I didn't know what to listen for. Mine (Athens is a green pied) can mimick the phone buttons, the miscrowave, and say, "Hi Buddy," "How are you?" "Whatcha doin?" and I'm teaching him, "Cockadoodledoo."

He's definitely a boy. He looks like a recessive pied, and males of that mutation (as well as albino/lutino) have pink ceres instead of blue.

You got it! When people ask me if Frosty's female, I'm almost tempted to say yes to avoid explaining the recessive pied thing. Also Frosty has the "Barney Rubble" eyes (black on black) because of his pied, it makes his eyes look Big, anyways.....

Some male Budgies of the Recessive Pied variety don't have the blue ceres that most male budgies have. Frosty had a DNA sex check, he's a male.

He was an only bird for the first 7 years of his life. We never taught him anything, he just copies whatever he likes of hears repeatedly. He's now over 12 years old but not a day goes by without him babbling nonsense and giving us a good laugh. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Frosty's gorgeous! I thought he was a girl because of his pink area above his beak! I'm going to try to hear the sneeze now... I used to have a gorgeous little budgie who lived for almost 14 years... he talked and coughed. Budgies are amazing characters. I love them!

Try keeping your camera out where he can get used to seeing it (less stage fright). Somtimes when I show Frosty the playback on the cameras LCD, it gets him going.
