@LtRacjack12 Thanks Brother and back at ya. Those Bradleys of yours kicked some serious ass at ECP 5 too. We are proud to have served with the 2-69 AR, 3rd ID. After you demobed we manned your tanks and supported the 1/506th IN, 101st ABN. and the Marines at OP Horea. We still manned OP Hotel and ECP 5, BP1,2,and 3 along Rt Michigan, and the ECP's at Corregidor. They kept us pretty busy. We lost 1 tank in combat to a very large IED, but the crew survived with one minor injury.
I can't wait to join the armoured 2more years for me. But i am most likey to be working in a Leopard A2M6 becasues im am canadian. But I support what you guys are doing and stay safe and come home soon.
I am a cadet at West Point and I have to say I can't wait to be a part of the Armor Branch. I respect what you guys are doing out there and look to joining you guys. Take care, and stay safe.

looked like somone fired a round on the wrong scale settings, for example a high explosive round should be fired on a high trajectory? sabot flies like a dart and can be fired pretty much on a level trajectory, and that was not a hesh round.Someone made a pig's ear of that :O)

You people who've been around those tanks in battle and who OPERATE those tanks KNOW that the standard round is a depleted uranium projectile, right? Do you guys realize what IMMEDIATE danger you're in? It doesn't even matter if you're 50 miles away, DU burns into Uranium Oxide and dust and spreads thousands of miles. The US will call it "PTSD" or a "pre-existing condition" when in fact, its a direct result of exposure of DU. 4.5 BILLION years of genocide guys. I hope everyone wakes up.
Im a driver on an abrams tank crew. You are right, Our DU rounds do leave targets contaminated. The dust created from the round is radioactive. Guess where we get the DU for our sabot rounds? You guessed it, stockpiles of nuclear waste. To be honest with you, the only people who are at risk are the idiots who climb on top of the targets we hit with Sabot rounds. we have been using these rounds for decades with little or no problems to the crewmembers.
Us tanker's know the dangers of are job! We are pretty much fucked from day one! We get warm in the exhaust from are tanks for god sake!lol. Hell! Every round you put down range has the chance of killing you. The gases it puts off after firing are quite poisonous! And theres not a damn thing we can do about it
Let's be clear on this..we shot from the edge of the graveyard into a vast open area, not into the graveyard. The insurgents shoot into the graveyard because they respect nothing.

And still we hit the target...it was a HEAT round and the elevation depends on the distance to target which was a car hood at 1800 meters.

It's a cemetary on a hill, best overwatch position for a large area. We don't disturb the graves although they sometimes get hit by incoming fire.
