Back to the late 50"s. It was about the only record in our very humble house. It was an LP. My dear Mother and I would listen to it, over and over. Tea, cream crackers with Marmite. Dad working in the factory. I so wish........
connie really does justice to this patti page signiture song...connie puts her heart and soul into it..i love listening to patti sing this wonderful...sad song...but connie sounds just lovely doing this song...
Connie has the voice of an Angel......And what a voice it is,probably the best there is.........See we have two idiots that have clicked the dislike button, well its their loss,i give it thumbs up and some, this is real music.................
These times were the best times in my life, It seemed all was well with world and we had the best music in the world, from all over the world, Ahh! times gone by, never to be had again
Who is that "someBODY" who disliked this awesome song???? He seems to have just body and has neither ears to hear nor soul to feel. And definitely no taste at all.
ALL THUMBS UP!!!! Connie has a voice to die for!!!
Her voice sounds so pure. Don't always like the band/accompanyment, but with every recording/performance, Connie's voice is the instrument that stands out the most.

61 years ago from today, the day I was born, this Patti Page megahit was number one on the charts. Connie Franis does it beautifully.

The sixties were the best years of music, peace, happiness and safety.

Perfect tempo to learn to dance the waltz. First time I heard it was in 1951 on a 78 vinyl disk and it is still as beautiful and fresh today in 2012.

Try Lacy J. Dalton's version if you like it a little faster... and better.

This is beautiful. The great version by Patti Page was the #1 song on the charts the day I was born. Connie also does a gorgeous, heartfelt version.
