@Sheina199 i learn my huskie pup to talk and he can say ab 10 words like i love you hello thank you cowboy how are you stuff like that and i use food and tell him to say hello then very time he makes a noise give him treat then he will get better and better
As a training video I have to say that the critically difficult part -- going from step 2 to step 3 -- wasn't explained or demonstrated. How do you say "elbows down = good, elbows down AND butt down = bad" with just a clicker?
The crucial point with the clicker is that the feedback you provide to your dog is timely and always consistent.
Also keep in mind that not rewarding a behavior (in your case, the dog going into the down position) with a click and treat sends a powerful message to your dog. Behavior that is not rewarded is not reinforced so is therefore less likely to occur again.
You can also use your voice to communicate to your dog what is desired behavior and what is not.
Yes little Macy is a Shih-Tzu although she does look similar to a Lhasa Apso.
The treats I use are cheese or liver treats which I get from the local pet store. The key is to find the treat that you dog really loves - then use it as motivation, not as a bribe.

can you upload some videos how to make your dog say ''I Love You, Hello, Hi, Thank you'' or something?
Sheina1999 1 year ago
I would if I could! I did actually have a dog (Harry my Dalmation) in the past that could mimic my voice, but sadly he has passed on.
