The fact that the sequel is being delayed because the current technology is incapabe of supporting it... That idea just gets me so excited! I can hardly imagine what kinds of amazing things will be included in the sequel...

by the way, it has been delayed because Michel Ancel can't produce the game he wants to create with the technology we have currently

but a small team from ubisoft has been working on it for several years now and hopefully it will be realeased in 2013/4 - thats 10 years after the first game!!

@sagesaria Yes surely it is! He wants the game to be perfect, but the engine of beyond good and evil 2 is still in development - I hope it will be released in 2-3 years, but it's all depending on Michel Ancel since he's the head of the group

@sagesaria Yeah I've heard they are pretty low on the budget too, after the first game which didn't get much commercial attention, and didn't become a big succes. It's a shame when this game is so much, much better than many of the more popular mass sold games.

So yeah, they didn't get the expected proffit, to make the follow up which allways was a part of the plan.

I love this game, it had a good story line and some nice graphics for the time it was created. Unfortunately the disk I have of it is old and scratched, the game no longer wants to work properly.

But this is a game you simply cannot forget. ;D

@srry4beatinu Last I heard, they are still working on it, and they're keeping the budget and staff as low as possible to keep Ubisoft from trashing it, but unfortunately that also means they don't take much notice of it either.

@sagesaria yeah but the most important thing for me was the story and music, becaused they worked well together. if that doesnt change, then it doesnt matter how good of graphics its got to me anyway. but i hope that ubisoft not taking much intrest doesnt cause a reapet sales of the first one. i know there is more of us BG&E lovers now but will it be enough? ill be honest, im addicted to the story, and only two BG&E games wont be enough for me to just go back to call of duty or strategy games.

To all those worrying about welfare of the Beyond Good & Evil sequel: TAKE HEART! sometimes no news is good news! haven't we seen so far that the games that get talked-up and advertised the most heavily are always the games the developers realize are terribly flawed? BGE is one of the most philosophical, beautiful and memoring games ever ( not to mention entertaining), it should be even more famous than Rayman if you ask me. Also, praise Emma de Caunes for her talent (and I hear Jade was based on her) and her voice.
