Will you tell me what the sign is that you first use in the phrase 'living He loved me' made with the right 'v' hand rotating on the palm of the left open hand? Thanks!
@ktloveland - almost started an Abbott and Costello routine with that one. I was going to say, "Yes, what does it mean?" I just caught myself, looked it up in my dictionary and did indeed laugh out loud!
Perfect. Now I will never feel self conscious of how I may look when I worship in ASL. My regular fellowship has no issue, but when I/we visit others, I sign, not to make a show, it is part of me now. You sign with a passion. God Bless you. You have unknowingly encouraged me to step out and up. The df need to hear and they shall, as Isaiah says!
Thank you for doing this video and so many others. I am a worship leader at my church and love signing these beautiful songs. I have learned so much from you ktloveland. Blessings to you.
Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing :) My daughter is just learning English (adopted from Ethiopia when she was 11). Even though she doesn't know much English yet she wants to learn ASL as her foreign language in high school!! She will be so excited to see these videos, AND they're her favorite songs!!!! Love it!! God bless :D
I am deaf and always watch your songs and very impression of your skill ASL song. I refer that to my several friends included deaf and I love your ASL videos! God really blessed you for share and touch to friends to be know Jesus as their personal Savior.
I just found some of your asl videos... I LOVE that you do concepts!!! I took some basic sign several years ago thru an adult ed class....have LOVED sign since first exposed to it in church as a small girl. Maybe someday I will be blessed enough to take schooling to become an interpreter...but till then I do it for the love of it...and since I dont sing well...its an awesome outlet for praise!!!! Keep up the good work and may God continue His blessings on you!
I think that you are doing a great ministry! I am learning ASL in a class at my church. We do have a deaf ministry at the church. I really love worshipping the Lord in this ministry. Please keep up the good work and I will pass this on to others in our minisrty. Thank you for sharing your God given gift and with our ministry to the deaf we will reach alot of the unreached in the deaf community!
I learned a couple of signed songs at Christian camp a few years ago and am trying to learn ASL on my own a little, but I REALLY love this song and was wondering if there was a way to watch your video in slow motion . I want to perform it at church only and was trying to working on my own translation and then I saw your video and its MUCH more accurate and smooth then mine woulde been.
I used to sign quite a bit when I was younger with my mom, and I've been watching your videos. It brought back so many wonderful memories! Thank you so much for what you do. It's really been a great blessing! And because of you, I discovered Liberty University. :D
The sign you are referring to was taught to me by a deaf woman. She wants interpreters to use this sign for SALVATION - which is a noun. The cross over the heart is the depicting what has happened after we are saved. Using the signs SAVE or SAVE FINISH for being saved provides a distinction from SALVATION.
I haven't been on Youtube for a little bit and what a surprise to come back to 3 new videos by you! Always a pleasure Kevin :) Glad to see you back! God Bless
WOW!! that was powerful! love this song..but now, that l've seen it in sign, it has so much more power to it! thanks for this! just awesome! :) my favorite part is that you're not just going through the motions, you're worshiping! love it! God Bless!
I love your videos. I am learning ASL myself, but have a long way to go. I have a question. What are you saying when you make a cross with your fingers and then bring it in to your heart? I've seen it done in several christian songs that are being interpreted.
@lovemykidz316 That sign is one of my favorite concepts. You will probably see me use it a lot because its a great concept. It's kind of another way to say "mine". in this song I did "redeemer plus me directional to heart". I just said he is mine, he is in me, he lives in me. Thats kind of the concept there. I hope that explains it.
If anyone else has a better explaination then go for it.
