This was a great episode. Good info, sookie1313. I really liked the finale, although many in the forum-sphere bashed it a bit. If you can accept the Starbuck plot for what it was and appreciate it for being a little different, I think most people would find it to be pretty good.
I -loved- Someone to Watch Over Me and Maelstrom, which were two of Starbuck's best character-centric episodes, in my opinion.
Like any great work of art, the final episode was not perfect, but it was beautiful. I will always remember it and be thankful to Moore, Eick, and the entire cast and crew for what they have done. I wish them all the greatest success in the future, and hopefully, they will create things even more unforgettable.
Some people, none here, are being cruel to the finale. It was beautiful; Adama's fianle scene with Rosilin made me cry, and Kara's random disappearance made sence, for some reason.
@Rosebunse It's not cruel to point out a badly done episode. None of it makes sens at all. What was Kara? How did three separate planets thousands of light years apart somehow have the same animal evolutions? This is just a short list of the MANY loose ends left. I loved the series until the finale and then just pretty much gave all the DVD sets away, it was that horrible.
But the writers wrote themselves into a hole! And besides, Kara's disapearance would make sense if you realize that one of the points of the show is that there is a God who is working hard to make things happen, then it makes sense in that that God may have realized that "Oops, made a mistake here!' And brought her back just long enough to finish her task. Look up the writer Vladimer Nabokov and what the writers did will make more sense to you.
I don't think you get it. You don't watch a show for the final episode; you watch it for the ones in between the beginning and the middle. It's not the destination, but the journey that counts. And, like I said, look up Vladimir Nabokov's theory on writing and you may be a little more satisfied. But, I do love how the final has left a debate among fans.

Yeah, right. It made perfect sence. Kara's fate wuz the dumbest, mind-numbingest, stupidest, retardest BSG plot-point EVA.

So this whole show is basically, 'God did it'. Wow, if that is the case, I wasted a lot of life that I will never get back.
