  • I've considered P3 Primer as its a dedicated hobby primer and not too expensive only $7.50. But I decided i'm fine with Colorplace Flat White for my plastic minis and Krylon for my metals and resin. Might try it when I get more cash. Thanks for such an in-depth tutorial on your process. Not many people do this.

  • As soon as you said General Tso's chicken, i ordered some... thanks for fueling two addictions, Dev: modeling and chinese food.

  • Ed Begley Jr. thanks you for recycle'n that water:)

  • 7000 feet above sea level. Jeepers!

    I live at ~ 100m. :-)

    Thanks for the vids.

  • Addiction is right lol I lways remember what a guy high up in Games Workshop said

"I am amazed at the numbers of plastic space marines sold. I can't believe it, I keep expecting it to be a front for drugs."

    So true haha!

    Thanks Dev.

  • Very video man! Primering here in northern Ohio in the winter was an issue for me. I ended up just investing in an airbrush so now I can easily primer and get some smooth results in the process. Once the snow started flying I tried using spray primers indoors but it was brutal. LOL

  • Really nice Dev, we been needing a thorough treatment of this!

  • P3 primer is good? Looks like i'll have to order some from my FLGS. I like Army Painter primer too. I'm also a fan of General Tso's chicken and never switch my order up either. I am a creature of habit.

  • Wow. Laying the mini down to prime? You''re the first I've heard that does that. From your previous vids It obviously works for you and to me basing before priming makes sense

  • lol got to love tiny Rhinos ;)

  • You have to admit - General Tso's Chicken is pretty danged good...

  • great vid and tiny rhinos

  • Thank you so much for the shout out. Your work is also amazing. PWT is great. The tip on bending the tab is defently going to be put to use. I actually picked up some more malifaux miniatures today. Its great to watch the master at work.

  • awesome vid ! thanks

  • Ya I do the same thing, Base the model then prime it.

  • Lots of great tips!

  • I've ruined so many brushes that way too, glad I'm not alone.

  • Wow, great tutorial videos so far. I especially enjoyed the first one in the series thus far. I find that there aren't many people who will take the time to go in to so much detail about the _actual_ first steps in prepping a mini. Lots of people will skip directly to basing, or basecoating.

It's too bad you don't have a camera tripod so you could film your basecoating process, but you did explain it very well.

I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. :-)

  • @Superminyme Oh, I've got a tripod, I just don't want to be spraying primer that close to my video camera :)

  • You are so patient! When I have new models I want to race trough it fast! I guess you got the experience tho.

Great technique overall, you are extremely well organized.

  • @Hugebill2p hahaha me too xD
