Oh I almost forgot, this ZR1 is astonishing car, no doubt, I want that car, and this exhaust is not maybe the best choice, but this is how V8 should sound like.

Sound reminds me on SLS AMG a little.

Oh and one thing, AMG engine in SLS cost 30,000 - 35,000 € in EU, LS3 is between 10,000 - 15,000 €, LS7 is about 20,000 €. LS9 you cant buy as crate engine in EU, but cost more than 20,000+ €

Of course that have 600+ ftp, but it's also supercharged (means more torque at same rpm than naturally aspirated LS3). Look at difference LS3 6.2 V8, 430hp, 425 ftp torque, LS9 is same engine, but boosted.

now look at this: SLS AMG engine name M159 same as LS3, 6.2 liter, V8, 570hp 490 ftp torque.

Now, put same Eaton TVS SC on AMG engine (like it's on ZR1) and your power is after that 750-800 hp and 700 ftp torque. EURO V8's for same displacement produce higher power and torque...

@2jzgtejza80 well it how its tuned as well, its harder to get higher hp out of a pushrod engine than cammed, even if mb has 750 hp the zr1 will still eat it for lunch, zr1 has one thing in there favor besides high hp, light body weights

6.2 V8 actually, yes it's better engine overall, but cost 2 times more... than LS9, OK AMG engine makes almost 600 hp NA from that engine, but LS3 with same displacement only 430hp.

V6 = debatable (3000GT VR-4 would be my pick because it's so unique)

I6 = Anything 2JZ or RB really (Supra/Skyline).

V/I4 = I know you just didn't say V4. There haven't been V4's in YEARS. Also, a WRX STi isn't an I4 either. It's a boxer H4 (horizontal straight).

I4 = Evo

H4 = WRX STi

STI and Forester XT's engine is horizontally opposed (not straight)... And they have to be the world's best sounding 4cyl (along with all the other EJ Series turbocharged engine). The non-turbo's sound good if you put a unequal length header on them. Then again, I may be biased. I've always loved them.

Just for fun... best flat six? Subaru SVX (EG33) with a Flowmaster transverse muffler. OMG. Eargasm.
