I think there are never bad dogs (excluding wild ones, of course. You can't control wether they're good or bad), just bad owners.

Every owner has the ability to train their dogs not to bite. Everyone who says pitbulls are bad are fucking morons. You only train pitbulls to fight, they are not aggressive if you leave them alone. However, if they're wild and like, they have to get food and crap they'll probably bite you XD

@Xoebear I don't know about that - I have a Boston female who's hard-wired to hunt anything that moves and has fur. Sometimes she goes epileptic and seems mentally outside of herself. I've seen her like that maybe 3 times and all three times she's tried to bite..one time she didn't miss. I love her and normally she communicates great - but in one split second she can get quite teethy.

And of course, one faithful evening she got out of the house and killed a poor puppy =( so we had to put her down

Depends on who you ask. Labrador Retreiver are restricted in some areas. Also, they tend to bite more often than other breeds. Depends on the dog, how it's raised, and what line it comes from (not overbred or the like.)
