Well said sir! My friend who is from South Africa moved here to America in 2003, to join the Marine Corps. On all forms he put "African American" even though he was white, he was told he had to put "European Caucasian", he refuse to and still does today. Just a note to add, alot of people are misleaded to believe that black people all came from Africa which is proven to be false. Same with all other race groups, the population has been inter mixed for thousands and thousands of years.

I do not agree with the theory that if one is lightskinned that implies racial admixture. That is no more than a racial microaggression formed by those who are non black to give an invalid explanation to one's light skin. It is used to pin one racial category to a certain look, standard, or stereotype and since those people dont fit the stereotype they must be mixed?All black people are not dark as night, if one has a different skin tone as the stereotype then admixture is not always the answer.

Term "white" is social concept created in United States in 1940's. It is very obsolete because it groups various people into one term that means Anglo Saxon. That is only small portion of Europeans.

Caucasian or "white" is by medical and scientific defeinition:

1. All Europeans and Euro Asian people

2. Arabs

3. Indians from Indian subcontinent (Pakistani as well)

4. Iranians

5. Turks

In US "white" means ONLY someone of Irish, English, German, Dutch, Scandinavian, Scotish bloodline

You are correct I do have small amounts of Native American ancestral lineage as well as caucasian (white) but I am primarily of Sub Sahara African lineage.

The confusion for "lightskinned" people dates back when colored was a demographic term separate from negro or black. I think most African Americans aren't educated on the differences of race & ethnicity, because of this Americans generally thinks that our race is multiracial but really it is the ethnicity African American. Both of my parents have a strong sub-Saharan lineage in there genetics, so I am racial of black lineage. My ancestors where slaves on my mother's side, but my father is from Nigeria Africa, this is how our family classifies there selves. My cousin on my mother's side is mixed black & white they usually classify him racially as biracial or multiracial lineage & ethnically African American.
