  • I just love the opening hit!!

  • Mark chambers is a genius

  • Great show..too bad they used a tape for the snake charmer solo and fucked its reputation. Cheaters never win.

  • @atweeks snake charmer solo? the clarinet solo?

  • how do they change the colors!?!?!?

  • @knifenewbie456 I could tell you, considering I was in the show. :D 8:42, that's me. :)

  • @callmebrick87 How'd u do it?

  • @sensemayaya 0:00-10:04 awesomer moment.

  • @TheAzulon13 My school is to. What school might that be?

  • We're doing this show this year! Not the same drill, of course. But that was really cool! I really liked it a lot!

  • RIP RCA Dome 1984-2008

  • I LOVVVVVEEE THIS SHOW!!!!!

  • Best marching show I have ever seen. I applaud the drill writer and the directors of this fantastic music program.

  • I love how the plume change revolutionized the HS band world.

  • this should have been 1st place

  • WOAH!! XD

  • I remember sitting there, 30 YD line, exit side. My band placed 13th this year, but man o man I will never ever forget this moment. Simply Amazing. Tears and goosebumps every time.

  • no matter how many times i watch this, i still manage to get goosebumps:) i seriously wish my marching band can emulate this. i luv this so much^.^

  • wait WHAT?! 11?! are you serious? i cant even imagine first place...

  • This was an impressive show. :)

  • this show should've got first, and i'm not even from reagan

  • Just watched this in band camp today, i looove the part at 5:46!

  • Well, it would seem that Crossmen should have a steady influx of talent for years to come!

  • What was the music this was based from??? I know I have heard it before but cannot place a name to it!

  • @GrantBingham1 Cirque du Soleil at beginning and end. A few other pieces in between. I think Aegean overture after the opening minute or so

  • @GrantBingham1

    Journey of Man (Benoit Jutras)

Queens from ‘La Nouba’ (Benoit Jutras)

    Aegean Festival Overture (Andreas Makris)

    Original Music (Aaron Guidry)

  • What is the Name of the first song?????

  • @TerrifficTenor15 Journey of Man

  • We where going to do this show this year I see why we didn't. We are more musicly talented. There is alot of places where we don't play and the judges can focus on marching. Which where not bad at but there can be improvement.

  • Man I love those plumes!

  • wow...the pit is good. amazing how well they did their part on the vloseup :)

  • this band should have gotten first 5.30 to 7.30 is my favorite part but overall the band is awesome!!

  • Simply gorgeous

  • who won first place overall ?

  • I think Lassiter High School did...not entirely sure though.

  • You're right, it was Lassiter for '02 :)

  • I miss the epic Reagan opening introductions!

  • 9:00-9:08 = THE EPITOME OF EPICNESS

  • Wow, those guard uniforms are quite something. lol

  • @supercoolredhead Reminds me of Galactus mixed with Tron guy.

  • OH YEAH GO CLAIRINET!!!

  • churchill? are you from churchill?

  • are there any graduates with music still on hand?

  • i just found some music from the next years show! lol but i dont have any from that years :(

  • @AxlRed24

Could I see the t-bone music? I want to compare ours to theirs, difficulty wise.

  • Sorry, I only had the french horn part, but I've moved since that comment and don't know where I put it.

  • @AxlRed24

Ah, dude that's fine. Thanks for replying!

And by the way, what was it like being in this program? Just curious.

  • The greatest feeling ever! haha The only thing I miss from High School was being a part of the marching band.

  • @AxlRed24

Haha. I really enjoyed marching season for us this year. We were only ok, though. Didn't make finals at state. But it was still fun as anything. Haha.

  • absolutly one of my all-time fav shows!

  • im coming into reagan this year as a freshman, i made the top band as trumpet, but im just kind of scared/ confused of all that will happen. can i get some advise?

  • don't be scared. the best thing you could do to iron out your nerves is to show up to the tuesday sectionals. also, it'd be smart to work on your ability to play loud. congrats on 1st band

  • how did they change from orange to blck?

  • i just got goosebumps. AWESOME

  • can you say... complicated?

  • They have the same arranger for many of their shows, and all arrangers typically have their own style that shows up as they write more and more shows (Aaron Guidry in this case, but similarly for well-known arrangers like Boerma, Higginbotham, and Poulan)

  • No it doesn't sound that similar.

  • is there any chance that the kid that plays the clarinet solo at about 4:00 is the same soloist from the 2005 show? they look like the same person...

  • No, 2002's soloist graduated the spring following this show. A freshman getting a solo-feature like this would be pretty amazing!

(side note, love how people are still going OMGWTF about the plume change. The technique for this changes between Journey of Man and Beyond Perimeters, btw.)

  • derp derp, Journey Within, rather

  • lol i know that a freshman getting a solo would be ridiculous, especially in a band of this caliber

  • ummmmmmmmm........they don't

  • 4:45 to the end rocks!

  • I'm a freshman this year at Reagan and our show has potential to be one of the best even after the Johnson split.

  • what happened this yr? not even state?

  • wtf is wrong with you?

  • we get to perform this show =]

  • sooo do wee..! (:

  • I always love there fanfare things

  • dang, you guys had a LOT of bass clarinets. i saw like 7 or 8 of them

  • Zomg! Check out those Guard Uniforms! total awsome and uniqueness!

  • Possibly THE most epic melody line I've ever heard in a marching band show. I like how the bells play a cute little scale right before it to make you go like "tee-hee, that was cute" but NO! what's that? ...Snare crack, and a hardcore brass and percussion interlude that tells the story of the sweat and tears that brought them all to that exact moment in its own way.

First time I heard it I went back and listened to it again and again like 20 times, lol :P

  • I really miss thier "Cirque" shows. I wish they would bring them back.

  • It's Aaron Guidry who did a lot of the work from that along with Chambers. He now drums for Cirque in LV and arranges many marching shows commercially.

  • Yeah well why don't you be a total douche about it and call me out over a GE gimmick on youtube why dont you. I'm assuming they used the same technique to do the plume change as they did in 03, and according to many of my friend in their band they hid them up their sleeves and up their jackets. you can even see a trumpet player marching around at the end of the show without a plume

  • Really?????

Calling other people names on youtube???

TessaGrace13 is right, the orange ones were attached to the hat. And though the band members might have told you how they did it in 03', that doesn't mean thats how they did it this year. There are also other ways to lose your plume, like when they were rocking out, it could have fallen off then.

  • you are joking right....

  • Only problem I see is that they don't play very often.

  • Where the hell do they hide those plumes?!

  • i wanna know the same thing, in beyond perimeters they have 2 different colors besides black!

  • This is one of those questions that will never be answered, similar to what happens to the phantom in SCV '89.

  • they hid them in their sleeves.....not that hard to figure out. haha

  • And the PANTS in 85!

  • wrong, for the most part, the music is

Aegean Festive Overture, or Aegeand Festival,

we are playing it, it is rather entertaining

  • i love the red and orange swing flags!! <3

  • really?....i really don't thinks so..but i might be wrong.lol

  • the music is from journey of man, and la nouba, great show...deserved 11th for lack of playing...but when they did play they sounded wonderful

  • Much of the music is also from Cirque du Soleil's O Show

  • o really? that's cool, i was unaware of that, thanks bro

  • ACtually I think it was the sound quality of the Vid, I'm pretty sure it was louder in person... :]

  • yeah, i was there in person...i dont mean lack of playing as in they werent loud, i mean they didnt play music most of the show, they were busy karate chopping and doing plume tricks...but it was a very entertaining show.

  • If you freeze it around 7:58

someone is missing a plume :o

  • Congrats RRHS for getting Fourth in Pearland Im From Stephen F Austin and wanted bravo for a memoribl performance and will be happy to see you guys in san antonio for super regionals we will be watching so kick ass and always "Be Remembered".

Ps: We Arent Competing But Going To Grand Nationals

  • i love this show, i think that really good band from Marshall MN did it last year too or maybe it was two years agol

  • Man, love this show, kind of my fav out of all the RRHS shows, this really does sound like a Journey within, lol, although this was good, it was a little to soft?

  • The music is from Cirque Du Soleil Journey of Man, and "O".

  • WTF how did they do the Plume Trick?

  • It's magic.

    =]

  • how did ya'll do in pairland on saturday?

  • Can anyone find the san antonio finals video of this same show? It was performed so much better there than at gn.

  • This year was silent or too soft, lol... :)

only because I couldn't really hear the band?

  • this video is too quiet. but still, this show is amazing. this was the year lassiter pwnd everybody at GN.

  • lassiter was awesome but i wouldnt say pwnd...

  • Actually there isnt much size difference just more people have been marching in the show recently

  • omg theres a Ronald Reagan high school

    aahh hes my fav prez

    this was awsome btw

way better then the band im in

  • hey that pit is bad ass i wish my pit was like that when i was in high school

  • This band is amazing. as for size. yeah its fantastic to see a size that large. when i marched in high school, we had 280 and that was a lot for our area. this is just phenomenal!

  • Wow....that breakdown around 5:45...catchy, really catchy. For some reason the dancing reminds me of a battle scene from an RPG like Final Fantasy or something.

  • Even five years later I still fucking love this show. Thanks for having us (Carmel) down to SA to watch you guys blow our minds with incredible brass sound.

  • Your visuals are AMAZING! Sooo many, and awesome show...

  • Whoa, the uniforms look very similar to our uniforms.

  • This was the show that started it all for Reagan in 2002 their main focus was to go to Grand Nationals and not win, but to make finals to set up the challenge for the next year and they ended up placing 11th I believe. Texas schools are limited to 8 hours of practice a week so schools from Indiana, Illinois, Flordia, and Georgia have an advantage there, but this was definately one of the most memorable shows from 2002 GN.

  • I remember being at that competiton...I remember me and alot of people from our band freaking out when the "chicken" feathers changed colors...One of the most memorable peformances in my opinion.

  • guard uniforms are nice

  • INCREDIBLE!!

  • wow how much time do you guys put in this?

  • A-BLINKIN-MAZING SHOW. Go win something big, guys!!!

  • Man I been looking all over for this music of your band playing this, this is the school from SA right?
