Yeah man! Ditto! I owned enough OD pedals to open up a pawn shop. The barber D gives me all the OD tone I need. It's warm and rich and the most natural of all the pedals I've owned. For blues, blues rock it kicks ass! I nail all the players I like. Zz top, Zep, black sabbath. With a delay and the gain at 9 o clock its robin ford. The black crowes, no problem! @LesterPaul01 Seriously man. It made so many other boutique pedals that claim to fight "buzziness" sound like a can of bees. All those "real tube amp like" sounding pedals absolutely destroyed by this one.
@cheesyplay3000 Seriously man, you're right. Even the pedals with a tube in it sound like crap to the BDD. Players also rave about the OCD. Too mushy for me. Sounds great man. Rock on.
@LesterPaul01 Yeah, thanks for watching! Yeah, I also agree about the OCD. It is a good/decent pedal, but I think there are more amp-like pedals out there. But then again, I tend to prefer more mid heavy tones and smoother overdrive sounds. I could see why someone would prefer the OCD over the DD.
Thanks guys. Best part of the pedal is that it's CHEAP as far as boutique pedals go. It's only 119$ and is by far one of the best feeling pedals I've ever tried. There is a mid hump, but a very pleasant one that works with the guitar.
Interesting that this amp doesn't "take pedals well".
