  • I remember seeing the video on BET Video Soul with Donnie Simpson & Sherry Carter. LOL Man those where good times.

  • great love-makin' music, rainy nights rule....

  • I'll never forget the first day I heard this song. I bought a beautful white dress, learned the song and called my soul mate to come to my house...

I never thought that it would be the last song that I would sing to him.

sounds like you like to mess with peoples mind....

  • God bless indeed and I concur, he is with you for now and for always ~

  • Music back then was so soothing, the songs would just lift yours spirits and free your mind. The music today is the opposite, it takes me nowhere, it is simply unpleasant noise.

  • Wow, I had the album until about 2006. I love this song. It makes me think about L. Miller R.I.P. June 23, 1999. Gone but not forgotten, went to sleep in his car and hit an enbankment. Died at the scene. My baby.

  • babymaking music..yes...ooohhh

  • I'm in a mood! Those were the songs.

  • old skool slow jams are the best. Nuff respect to the muti-talented Miss Winbush.

  • Angela Winbush is so underrated - her singing is amazing. This is one of the baddest bass riffs ever. Played it live on bass at a jam & everybody stared at me like "where you come up with that?" Killed em. So much for the new school R&B

  • This is the creme de la creme. They just don't make it any better than this.

  • This song was it when I was in high school!!!

  • woa pause it at 3:11 and , renes overcoat changes from plad to black.

  • YOu are crazy LOL

  • Adina Howard & Michael Speaks did a good remake of this song, but the original is always better!

  • I didn't know a remake was done! In the 90's? Never heard of Michael Speaks...

  • i wish music would make me feel like it did back then.its so alive n meaningful to me =)

  • Angela was the bigest part of this groupshe use to date renee and then she married ron isley she has a beautiful voice but renee had a problem with domestic violence

  • Angela and Renee were together before.

    Thank God for youtube thou.

  • The little girl also played the daughter of

Jenny and Lionel on The Jeffersons.

  • wow this is going wayyyyy back!

  • Comment removed

  • Angela Winbush is one of the greatest singers I have ever heard. I place up there with Patty, Gladys, Whitney, Chaka and Aretha. She didn't really show her skills on this song. She keep it pretty simple. Listen to some of her other music she will blow you away.

  • the girl also played latoya jackson in the movie the jacksons

  • She did ?

  • this is dedicated to all of the real men you don't have to cry I can pull you through these times and help you be strong I will keep you safe and strong just call my name and I'll be there

  • Rene & Angela know how to make musice, like Aurra and baby love.......you don't have to..........

  • Can anyone tell me who the little girl is in this video. I think she's a actress.

  • Looks like Lark Voorhies..not sure though

  • no

    it

    is

    little

    girl

    from

    the

    letha

    weapon

    movies

  • good love making music.

  • they do not make that kind music to much talking in you're generations if would buy it and demand it it'll come back simple as that peace

  • Hell 2 the Yea Bring It Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am 25 and I prefer 80s music...

  • a lot of young people do

  • mmm mmm mmm.

  • Music doesn't get any better! Today's R&B can't even compare to the ballads of the 80's and 90's. This was a beautiful song without 12 people on the track like it is now.

  • the 80's had wonderful music...I am going back down memory lane!!!!!!!

  • You don`t have to cry alone !!!!!!!!!!!!wow this one brings back good old memories for me

  • nice and relaxing especially the beginning

  • this is R&B. now a days the r&b is tainted by the hiphop. where has this type music gone

  • I can't believe this song is posted this song brings back sooo many memories growing up in 80's ...first boyfriend ..first KISS WOW...I wanna cry ..where are the good men today!!

  • There are still out there, did you look any good ?

  • You can't even compare good, old music to the shit they play today. Oldies have meaning and sound wonderful.... dat crap they have today sucks big time.

    Gimme 70's, 80's, and 90's anytime!

  • When will I find him????

  • I love this song. It has such a strong meaning...

  • She should have been singing this when He was beating the shit out of Her!

  • I love old school music. It had more meaning behind it. I miss the eighty's even though I was a baby.

  • i have been looking for a real man that will say that to me!!

  • Dry your eyes. Please don't cry. You can be strong, if you just hold on. That's what I'm talking about. We need this music to come back...NOW...I mean right now!

  • this music is the bomb. Man I loved the 80's.

  • It really took me a long time to find this song. Now I am about to cry for 4 min and 49 seconds...

    ...*♥*♥*♥MiiszThang...*♥*♥*♥

  • ms.winbush=one of the best voices in music.

  • Oldschool artist had true skills, class, talent and knew how to coduct them in harmony, Now! it's if you got ass, you got a record deal, if you can use a $100 autocoder, you are a singer, if you can use fruitloop, cubase, and tinkle on an instrumrnt a little you are treated as a superb artist, which is total bull

  • grooveskin you said a mouth full there. I'm in total agreement. The music industry has changed a lot. The new standard has a bar set so low that any wanna be can jump over it.

  • it was a totally different level grooveskin....when I was 8 year old on up, I loved this stuff as a child....this was beautiful stuff and now it's destroyed forever...it's very disheartening, see, when something is truly great, it doesn't have to be controversial to gain attention based on pretense, everything spoke for itself...this stuff now is total base level, it doesn't excite me at all and I never thought it would get this way...we reap what we so that's for sure

  • Amen!!! I've got to co-sign!!!

  • I think the person was saying music isn't like that anymore cause there's a lack of talent nowadays..

  • Where is music like this now??? This is when relationships could actually work without the extra

  • You asked "why cant music be like this anymore"? My answer was lack of talent. Rene and Angela were talented, so were many of the other artist of that era. Especially those artists from the 60's and 70's. The majority of songs they make now have no feeling behind them and no meaning. It's all about "let me do this, that, and the other to ya". We need more talented artists in music that can actually SING and write.

  • yea this is some good shit.Back in the day

  • Lack of talent ;)

  • i dedicate this song to farrah faucett fighting for her life may god bless her and keep her safe

  • i love this song.

  • charlestonchewy, you wish they put an album together? They have had two, or at the most, three albums of "Rene & Angela" before they broke up. I know! I had all of them at one time.

  • Angela...Angela...Angela! What a beautiful voice and a beautiful woman.

  • Love this song the collaborations between the 2 is just crazy. angela is in a class by herself.

  • No. He is remarried to a younger women

  • Can you say Video Soul! LOL I remember watching this video and jamming to it. I used to luv Angela hair..lol

  • this song is an oldie but real goodie

  • this song is one of my all time favs. they only recorded songs together, she was married to one of the isley brothers.

  • She was married to Ronald a.k.a Mr. Biggs

  • She was married to Rene when they made this song

  • This song could stay on repeat all day. It's like a musical big bear hug-- so warm and tender. Angela's vocal performance here is superb. I never felt she got the amount of media recognition she deserves.

  • One of the best slow jams of all time!

  • i agree. But do you remember Midnight Stars, "Play another Slow Jam"?

  • Honey! Cry is all I do every time I hear this song. In 1987 my ol' lady at the time got her "Wave Nouveau" done by her cousin in the laundry room at her grand momma's. I'll be damned if that MF didnt leave it in too long! When I got there to pick her up, she looked looked like Luis Gossett Jr. Y'all know I left her bald headed ass where she was at!

  • they are cousins

  • black love don't give up on us ladies!
