Correction: LCD and LED is the same technlogy, LED is just the kind of lighting used in the LCD TV, alot of people mix those up. LED is kinda a much better lighting because it gives you better colours and are not taking as much power as CCFL lighting. So if you see a LCD TV in the store, it's CCFL lighting. If you see a LED TV in the store it's LED lighting. Both are LCD though. Thanks for reading :)

At 1:30, you say that plasma's cost more than LED tv's. This is not true. You may have just messed up and confused it with the running costs.

This can mean it costs more to run. But it can also mean it costs more to buy. However because she says "usually costs a lot more" that would infer that it can sometimes be cheaper to run than a LED or LCD...which is never the case. So....it lead me to believe that it was referring to the pricing of the actual tv itself..

The US went all digital ... hmm 5 years ago? Cant remember exactly. You can buy a digital set top box here in the US for like $15. Which I believe is just a simple D to A converter. (I bought one for my grandma b/c she likes her TV as is.) It came with a remote too which is nice.

Personally I don't like the switch. With analog even if you got a poor signal at least you could still watch TV, but with digital if your signal is poor it will basically be just black screen.

NTSC CRT TV sets work a little different then the PAL ones. NTSC is 29,97 frames a second and the signal will work with black and white tv sets. When Pal countries went color they dropped support for black and white and went with 25 frames. Pal has better colors then NTSC, but NTSC is better for sports. But Pal has more of a film look.

To get 24 frames to work in 29.97 frames you need to double a few frames. The problem with this is called pull down that there can be ghosting problems.
