I have 20 (Budgies, tiels, quaker, ringneck and Congo Grey) and couldn't imagine having them to full house access... I have hard enough time getting my crew back in cages after being out all day. Check out my video... Waking the Crew, to see my bird room and crew

  • No, we thought it was cute and funny.

  • Aren't you nosy. That's 3 questions! First, we are their parents, next we have doors we open to get out of our home, next we clean it.

  • how to you get your birds so taim i have had my birds for 2 months and they wont let my stroke him

  • You guys are amzing! :) To handle all that and you clearly take amazing care of your birds which I truly appreciate. There should be more people like you, and thank-you! :) ~ Clara

  • God bless you, just keep us in your prayers.

  • Oh and also, I read the comments about their diets and what not. What would you recommend feeding to parakeets? I try to look for things other than seeds, but the stores I go to only have seeds for parakeets. Any recommendations?

  • lol so they always go straight to their correct cage? i'm still so amazed. 8D

  • @SealTheDeal808 oh yes!

  • OMG thats like abunch of hungry children when you yell dinner! lol!! so cute!

  • oh jeez i have one lovebird and he's the most annoying thing ever. I cant imagine having like 10.

  • Our flock is actually very sweet and well-behaved.

  • Sheesh! How do you put up that EVERY DAY! It's gotta drive you guys nuts!

  • do you have children too?

  • The world does not need our spawns.

    ~Rodney

  • but you seem like nice people

  • do they poop every where?

  • Is Hagen a good brand to use? My Lovies chick has just hatched yesterday. Very cute. Im going to handfeed it from 2 weeks, when can i start handling it?

  • Is Tootsie sort of anti-social?

  • No, he is just on the bottom of the pecking order so he has to wait for his turn for mommy and daddy time, or the other birdies might beat him up.

  • Aww, that's so mean...isn't there a way to disipline Lovebirds for bullying?

  • The bird world doesn't work that way.

  • I might get a cockatiel for my birthday. I convinced my mom but my dad is mean and always growchy. If I do get one I'm planning on naming it Butters. So yea.

  • Again such a great video! I don't know what you're feeding them, but they seem to really like it :-) !

  • that was very entertaining. I really enjoyed watching that.

  • Frenzy is the exact word. :o)

  • Do your lovebirds make messes as in seeds in the carpet??? How do you clean??? Does your house smell????

  • If you clean a little everyday it stays clean. Our house smells wonderful like an orchard on a cool, spring morning.

    ~Rodney

  • i have a question. My 2 lovebirds has 4 babies but 2 out of the 4 have a black spot on their beaks. And the parents are normal green lovebirds without a spot on their beaks. how is this possible??? What are the name for those type of lovbirds with a black spoted beak???

  • Black on the beak is a baby trait. Some lovebird mutations that could lack the black on the beak are: inos and pieds.

    ~Rodney

  • thnx. O ya and aloha from hawaii...

  • yay pidgy is still alive and well~=!

  • Still kicking booty-bumper and taking names!

    ~Rodney

  • nice vid... what brand of food do you feed your lovebirds... Kaytee, Hartz, volkman, etc.?

  • We have videos that go over that. Too many to name here. By the way, Kaytee and Hartz are both awful brands and have led to the premature death of many birds.

    ~Rodney

  • they feed roudybush, nutri berries and beak appetit

  • How do you guys get your birds sos friendly and tame. how come they dont fly around the house like crazy?

how come no larger species parrot.

  • Routine, play grounds, and a since of humor OUR BIRDS LOVE. We do not have any larger species because our little birds would beat them up. LOL.

  • You must be going crazy:]

  • thanks! i've actually just been reading your blog for the past hour, it was extremely helpful!! i'm getting my baby lovebird next Friday (most likely) and i wanna make sure i give it a good diet. you guys are awesome, it's great to find people who truely cares about their birds :)

  • that was such a cute and awesome video! how often do you feed them per day, and when do you feed them? i always just kept the food in the cage, maybe i shouldn't have?

  • 2 times a day and just enough that they totally finish it off. We also let our birds forage for their food (find and work for it) just like they do in the wild.

    ~Rodney

  • my first lovebird baby hatched from its egg today!! but i don't know if the parents are feeding him. when i saw them the parents looked like they were walking over it. i saw the baby lovebird open its mouth. does that mean its hungry? please help

  • Let the parents feed him.

    ~Rodney

  • nice video you should do more things like this and put them into youtube

  • haha you guys are so funny with them. ^-^

  • I failed to mention that I have been raising all types of birds for 18 years, but I must say lovebirds are in a wonderful group of their own. Their funny personalities to their chitter chatter is just something else.

  • You both are amazing with the love and care you attend to them all. I adopted a lovebird for the first time last month. I thought was a girl turned out to be a boy. His name is Hannan and he is 5 months old. He was unsure of me the first day till I played your video where you are talking to each other on the phone with Bebe. Hannan came right around after that. Stay blessed both of you and your birdie family!

  • are they for SALE i just thougt beouse there like 20

  • Nope, these guys are ours! :)

    ~Rodney

  • oh ok thanks they are so cute

  • Just luv your birds and all the vids

  • Hah, his face at this end "I mean, that was easy! =D"

  • Wow! I'm smiling hard and good thing I can't hear the birds noisies.. LOL..

  • and parakeets and cockatails

  • it must taking care of many lovebirds i onley have four

  • feeding FRENZY :D birds are mad for food we feed some birds in the garden here and when they have no food left they come knocking at my windows

  • they're so cute!

i really like how you don't crowd them into a couple cages. they each have their own space and food bowl things. :)

  • Aw, your birds seem very happy =)

  • The birds look really great though,I tell everyone about the other things i said...Didnt mean to imply anything bad.

  • OMG my birds do this, too.Just a reminder that parakeets, lovebirds and cockateils still need seed too, because the avi cake doesnt provide enough, they cant have like 80 percent pellet, you want it about 50/50 so they dont lose weight,in addition to 20%veggies.I can show you how to check if you are unsure if they are ok or not.

  • Thank you for the comment, but you have been misinformed. The Avi-cakes is a highly nutritious food that contains hulled seed and pellets. Since the seed is hulled, the vitamins, minerals, and proteins penetrate straight to the meat of the seed unlike seed that you recommend. Feeding a bird seed 50% of the time is like us eating McDonald's 50% of the time. A bird does not need fat to maintain weight, they need protein, balanced Omega 3 and 6 which both Nutri-berries and Avi-cakes provide.

  • Also, you may offer vegetables and fruits, but only as a snack. They can not be relied on for complete nutrition. What you can rely on is wheat grass, sprouts, and herbs such as celery seed. Birds need living food, not just dead seed or vegetables. Birds do not really eat seed in the wild, they eat sprouts. We have received birds on your diet and they were underweight, lacking nutrition, and on the verge of death, but when we switched them to our diet, they have added years to their lives.

  • Our birds get more variety than most birds even in the wild. The bulk of their meals contain the following: Roudybush or Harrison's pellets, Nutriberries, Avi-cakes (both which were made by Avian vets), Crazy Corn, Beak Apetit, wheat grass, sprouts, and as treats: veggies, fruits, and frozen veggies. Our birds look and act great because of the diet and exercise that they receive.

  • funny. and i thought my three lovebirds were a handful when they're gliding around me and climbing up my leg pants. i always play your videos to my birds and they love it. they get even more noisier trying to find the other lovies from my laptop.

  • LOL and it says "behave" in the kitchen

  • Actually, it says "Believe." We never behave around here... lol. ;)

  • woops ... i thought it says behave .. lol i was too tired yesterday to know what im typing ... i was writting this at 4 am ...lol

  • That says believe

  • -Laughs-

Not only are your birds funny, but you two are as well.

Now I know where those crazy birds of yours get to be so entertaining.

  • ahaha the ending was funny

  • Where did you get those awesome play gyms? Great Video!

  • We distribute bird products, so we bought it from ourselves! :)

  • PS: I love watching ALL your videos, so you guys should post as often as you can! :) I'd personally love to see more of Hedwig and Piggy :)

  • Haha, omg I loved this video! They're all so adorable, and I like how we were able to see your "bird room" :) Do you meal feed them?

  • Nope, they get a full feeding in the morning and new food in the afternoon. But they get enough for the day in the morning.
