Oh, this is the stretch of US 13 northbound from Princess Anne. I affectionately call it the Long Stretch of Nothing. Only thing out here are a ton of cops.
Oh yeah they do. I drive through there about 4 times a month and have for the past 6 years. They have a new Lidar (laser) unit that they use in those cutouts.
Maryland has become brutal again, especially on that stretch of 13. They never seem to bother you much on the bypass, but when you get in the trees, watch out! I drive through there all the time and see tons of tourists nailed. Of course they still have to outdo Greenwood and Harrington down in Delaware for the biggest speed traps on the DelMarVa.
This is right before you get to Princess Anne. There's a huge bend right before you get to this stretch of trees. The cops hang out on the left hand side in the cut throughs. They are tough on seat belt laws in Maryland.
Yes it is a beautiful ride. For any of you who have never driven down the DelMaVa pennisula, it is a great esperience as long as you do not speed much. Lot's of hungrey bears along the trail. I've seen several hiding out in the trees and eating tourists.
It was the stretch between Pokomoke and Princess Anne. And yeah, the cops love to hang out in the trees. I see them all the time with their laser captures raking in money from tourists. Shit, my next door neighbor got bagged there and my brother -in law got nabbed in Harrington (DE) which is perhaps the most well known radar trap town on the eastern seaboard. I laughed. Stay cool and thanks.
Beautiful area.
