this is amazing Caren...seen many times...found it again at just the right time on Cyndi's facebook...oh yeah...I think mine comes from what I call the MinstrelSpirit...this drive to make...create...sometimes outside of what I perceive to be myself...

Amazing....you words and videos are wonderful...we have such attention spans at times...art helps me focus....helps me be me...keeps me from falling apart at times...
thank you Taoworm23! I think you are right about visual search and cognition. Being able to focus attention is enormously important in getting art done! cheers friend! :)
Attention is the cognitive process of selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other things.
In theory of cognition, visual search is a type of perceptual task requiring attention. Visual search can take place either with or without eye movements. Common examples include trying to locate a certain brand of cereal at the grocery store or a friends face in a crowd.
I feel the same way. about talk. that's part of the reason I am trying to do something along the lines of video blogging, but with some cool visuals. you are truely mental, and that's how come everybody likes you.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD, WOMAN!!! Okay, really now. I like the sense you give me through this video that I am not the only one with rambling, nonstop, overwhelming thoughts. I mean, I KNOW I share this with many many people in the fast paced-world we live in. It's just a fuzzy felling to know I have the ability to get it out through art or journals or whatever I feel like creating. Thanks
Hhahaa! I have an old labotomy kit at home that I found in a junk show one day in the city. Would you like to borrow it? It's in it's own lovely case an everything. It's a bit rusty-like, but a bit of WD-40 should do the trick.

I am thinking that this is one of your best art vlogs. I think it is the voice mixed within the music and how well it works in there that set this one apart for me. It is like the soundtrack would stand alone as an inspiring piece. Then when you add the amazing visuals, you have, in my humble opinion, a tour de force.

I think I have completed something here and I have some new ideas I will be working on for the future. Though, please, hold me to nothing as my muse is not under my control!
To my mental monologue- shut up! shut up! shut up! It's like a verbal chainsaw in here! So much noise- I can't see anything! Searching bookstores & the internet for some spark some inspiration cause I'm not going to find it in THIS mess! It's a Catch-22- want some mental quiet? Find an image. Work on it. Ah, the door closes on the noisy part- opens elsewhere... But it's so noisy in here! SHUT UP!!SHUT UP!! The noise is blinding!! I'm driving me crazy!!
Oh my goodness, it is a racket, no, ejp3art? Where is the f***king audio dial so I can turn this s*@T down. haha. The mind is out of control. I am not going to listen to it tonight! Big smiles to you! :)
i really enjoyed this! movement and light, sound and rhythm! i have the same troubles with words, i like the nonverbal methods of art! i like your definition... very inspiring!
Thank you John! Yeah, words are difficult. There is so much to say that is beyond words, and yet that is how we are used to communicating. That is probably why I paint, to get at what words can't, and to be free of them for a few minutes.
I just love your morphing moves- Amazing. But I sense you're holding back on the truth about your brain. I bet it's more than talking going on in there. I bet there's some big ruckuses, screaming, things flying across the room: I know there is in mine!
N I C E Caren!!! take it out of the box, break it open and make a mosaic out it I say! :D yeah baby. perserving the zone. swishing it around in your head and then allowing yourself to day it OUTLOAD. COOL lol Cheers~ meg
this morning i felt like art has a great aspect when you create as though you are responding to an insult, or trauma, you just DO and once you start thinking too much its time to watch tv or jump in the lake
Great comment matsutakneatche. I like that "responding to an insult or trauma". I have to use something that makes me feel, that has an energy. I just try to articulate the energy. :)
Fantastic Caren. This seems like a darker more visceral eaglecrowowl. "We're mentally ill with thoughts in the head,"I can sing a couple of bars of that feeling. Loved this. Great editing and pictures too. You persevered and made something wonderful.
I need to get back to the funny farm, catch you later.
Yes!!!..this kicked a**!!!!!..Loved the editing especially when it looked like you had the fro and you were kinda dancing in your head...Great intro...Very smart and you express yourself so well...and i never asked you but i can tell...you were trained in dance?...ballet?..."I live in my head"...you could not have put it any better!!
being an introvert is an essential part of the make-up of all artists i think.a fewer amount have your courage and ability to communicate their fears and doubts.by admitting them to us(the way you do) you free yourself of the burden, and we get to see the great artist that you are.always enjoyable.z
Thank you Ziggurini - this has been such a fun and surprising process, this making videos for youtube. I had a feeling people would be able to relate, but I wasn't sure. It is really fun to create but it is also fraught with doubt and a kind of fear of being found out; found out to be no good, found out to be a weirdo, found out and rejected. But then something wonderful happens when the desire is stronger than the fear. Big big smiles to you!
Loved the expression from 4:12 to 4:25 0 Reminiscent of the scattered thoughts we all try to interpret within. Great editing as always. Create that which is inside.. no matter the chaos right! :D
Loved the video and like said before you can express and articulate thoughts so brilliantly. My head is the same always filled with thoughts constantly. Dancing to music is definately one way of switching off! ;)
Dancing is one of the very best ways! Thank you CapricornA73. I am a capricorn too. I am still thinking about the "book". Thank you for the encouragement. :)
You are someone we all can learn from...your thoughts are poetry in motion for alot ALOT of us here. Sorry u must think i am crazy youtube fan...LOL WELL I AM!
Oh my gosh, I so appreciate that you would take the time to tell me that, not to mention feel it in the first place! I started this on intuition, I am still running on intuition. I don't know what I am doing until I see it. It means the world to me to know the work is meaningful. It means the world. Thank you!
Thank you taoworm23!!! I think you are right. All of my experimentation is congealing into a cohesive statement. You never know what you are doing except upon reflection. Thank you friend! :)
wow! this was amazing. I've seen a number of videos lately of people complaining that nobody is putting up any videos or even more so anything creative. I'd say they needed to be patient.really good video here.
Caren, my sweet! How truly timely your vid is for me personally. I needed to hear that word and to hear it from you, well, just made it ever more meaningful. I enjoy you so much!
thank you Ozk3r!!! I am so happy you can relate! I mean, I'm not happy you are dealing with mind but chatter, but I am glad you know what I am talking about! haha :)
Every so often I get a good or clever idea. But somehow you get a box full of them and toss all of them into a video at the same time! I LOVE watching your work!
Oh Man, too freakin many. I am never naming a video "Persevere" again! I was having major sound problems. Youtube was jacking up the front end and making it too loud but I added some music (I think it's good) and I sorted cheated out of the problem. Thanks for checkin back in Rafa! :)
Your intro is so-o-o right on ! Well said, very well said... n' funny.
Love the space surrounding the boxes you think outside of, very cool.
I'd say more but I'd hafta' paint you a picture with pigments from my imagination,
which is hard to do in this here damn box...

Loved the expression from 4:12 to 4:25 0 Reminiscent of the scattered thoughts we all try to interpret within. Great editing as always. Create that which is inside.. no matter the chaos right! :D

Thank you so much cooksterz! I find filming the internal easier than the external. big smiles to you!

CapricornArtist73 3 years ago
Oh my gosh, I so appreciate that you would take the time to tell me that, not to mention feel it in the first place! I started this on intuition, I am still running on intuition. I don't know what I am doing until I see it. It means the world to me to know the work is meaningful. It means the world. Thank you!

Whoa!
Two words F__ing awesome!
This is by far your most symmetrical video to date!
Love the inner dialog part two. Much more integrated than anything before.
But comparing your videos to one another is about as pointless as arguing that blue is better than red. :)
Best video ever!!

I'd say they needed to be patient.really good video here.

my mental skills make me want to consume alcohol...bad, huh?
there are just SO many things to think/talk/think/talk about...it quiets me a bit, and simplifies my thoughts...
eek.!

Hi Owlphanumeric! I do find a glass of wine helps. At least temporarily. hehe. :)

I HEAR you on that one! Alcohol among other things, haha! I don't know if it quiets my MIND, but it quiets my mouth.
