his style fit's the music, although if you were to put him in a pure metal band then I'm sure he wouldn't be that great

Why ? Sure, he has his voice damaged, but it´s no surprise because everybody who screams can´t avoid it. But he´s still the important part of this band and he doesn´t sound SO bad.
