@dahosta1 We didnt need to get an online pass, im not sure but it may just be for people who buy the game used/second hand. Also we played on the PC so i don't know about split-screen for consoles.
@MOTOX0711 In Saints Row 2 the multiplayer was a lot more fun than the single player. We haven't completed Saints Row the Third yet so its hard to judge, but from what we've played so far, the first 40% or so of the game is just unlocking activities and there didn't seem to be much story, we didnt enjoy that. However, recently the story has kicked in and we are enjoying it a lot more.
Can you play coop just like the singled player? Is anything different like ex: you can't go in shops. I just want to know if everything is the same as singleplayer before I buy the online pass. And can you free roam coop?
@MOTOX0711 I have not really tried single player but as far as i know it is exactly the same as multiplayer. You can drop in to anyones game at any time, (doesn't matter if you are at different sections of the story) you can free roam, you can go to all shops, etc.
for co-op do you play with 2 controllers or do you invite a friend and play

@LillWayneVEVO On the PC you can LAN co-op so yes you can play without online. However i am not sure about consoles.
