Nice Video. I live and work in Hong Kong and frequent Mong Kok and I'm a very amateur gunpla builder. I've only visited what I've found in MK by walking around and finding stuff but going to check these places out today. I.T akocreations is gone though. Now that shop in the Yan On centre sells surplus stock toys. Good for a bargain or two but mostly kids stuff. I stumbled upon the g-system place last week, without knowing of g-system and it's awesome! A pretty sight to see indeed.
Thanks for the informative review! It helps as I might be visiting Hong Kong in the near future. What G-System resin kit I wish I could have? Their 1/48 Nu-Gundam (Gundam Evolved Version). Alas, it is like $600 something USD. Are they much cheaper to buy in Hong Kong? Grats on affording a G-System kit of your own!
@kwmkc13 Thanks! And yes, it is cheaper there! But it's relative--you're doing the shipping yourself if you're bringing it home with you. Otherwise, if you send it by mail, it might come out to the same price as buying it in the states haha. Good choice with the Evolved! It looks so awesome in person :)
@Gomenchaiii I've been busy and got sidetracked, but I should have a video out by the end of September. I'm also having equipment issues so that might delay the vid...but it'll hopefully be a nice informative video when I get it done.
the difference between resin and plastic injected kits (what bandai has) is just material. it's like apples and oranges; both are fruit (someone else correct me if im wrong )
the reason you see resin kits is because they're more convenient to mold; as for being "better" it depends on the artist, but imo resin kits are a lot cooler than the plan ole bandai stuff. check out the sites i listed in the vid and you can see for yourself :)
Well, quality-wise, recast will probably have more work, although g-system-best is pretty good and cheaper (they're right next door to g-system-shop!). In the end, you get what you pay for, so if it's a super cheap price, chances are, it's gonna be super cheap quality
wow...how lucky you are to see all the g-system stores in hongkong.nice kits they have hope i can get one also....can't wait anymore what g-system kit you have there for christmas...can i see,can i see...plsssss...lol
how really lucky you are man,i've always wanted to have a g-system kit.and since i saw your video im really going to have one before this year end...damn now i'm wanting also to visit hongkong...lol...can't wait to see your next video and what model kit you'll be bringing home....thank's man and have a good day...
Very nice vid. Looks really professional and well-done. Lol at the Asian guy with the "flipping the bird" dance. I think you got the 1:100 deep striker. Thanks!

J.BO Hobby is the best store ever :D
Been their creations are amazing and the model kits are so cheap, I got my MG The O there for around 600 HKD, and the shop keeper was a nice person

I really want to get the G-System Zeong Kit but I don't know if I have the mad skillz to build one.
What do you suggest? Re-cast or the original thing?

I just realized you said that we should name our resin kits.... I don't buy resin, but I may buy some for my birthday.
BTW that giant KAWS bearbrick is awesome!

i know i said resin, but i meant kits in general :)
Haha, that KAWS scared me :(

Are the Gundams TT Hong Brand or Bandai? because the TT Hong's brand has horrible quality.
DarkChroniam 2 years ago
Bandai all the way. Only the Lady's Market had TT, and that was just one shop. Everything's legit
Jameson171 2 years ago
ok thank you

Judging from the newer packaging, I guess it is a gerbera tetra that you've got.
I think I'll have HGUC Kshatriya for xmas
Happy Holiday

Wow!
I've to remember this video if I get to Hong-Kong in the future.
My guess on the package: MG S-Gundam "Deep Striker" Conversion (judging from the package...would be nice to see XD)
My kits for christmas: Several NG 1/144s , HGUC Zaku 1 and EX 1/1700 Argama
Happy Holiday, too! Have a great time in HK!

very nice! Are the shop owners fluent in english? I can't speak chinese ;_; well its not like I live near there anyway :D
my bet is on 1/100 sazabi or 1/60 gerbera tetra
