This is wonderful, 1954! with they young Neumann conducting (only pity it is sung in German... but then it's Max Brod's translation with Janacek's seal of approval, no?) Beautifully filmed too. Thanks
@CzarDodon Yes, it´s surely in accordance with Max Brod´s translation. I am not sure how far the bilingual skills were for Janacek, but he went to a German Realschule, plus he studied in Leipzig and Vienna. Brod, however, definitely was bilingual with Czech, and so were his friends F. Kafka and Felix Weltsch.
I first enjoyed Cunning Little Vixen in 1977 at Glyndebourne. I love how they filmed this production you have posted. Thanks for sharing it!

At least they put more efford into the customes and scenery in this one that was made in 2003. (at least I think that's the right year)
