  • uuugggghhhh give me a break lol i say that all the time great great vids

  • Brilliant videos.

I'm going through the same process, but only have access to a 200m range. Please can you explain how a tight group at 100 or 200 can go so wrong at longer range. I just don't understand it .... is it the slight variations in muzzle velocity that are not visible at short range and are at long range?

  • @zakiwi1

I'm far from an expert on the subject, and don't really understand it myself. At long range there are alot more variables that come into to play, which are hardly even noticable at 100 yards. All the little things matter at long range. I imagine its quite easy to get a good group at short range with UNstable bullets, but you won't notice it untill you push them out further.

My long range load at 100 yards doesn't always print the best group, but I know it works very well 600.

  • hey Ryan...at 00:40 seconds...is that a remmy 700 SPS varmint? if so...is it yours?

  • @0122358

Nope, belongs to a LH shooting buddy.

  • @ryandpahl ahhh...thank you for the quick reply...great series btw, very professional

  • @0122358

Thanks, glad people are receiving them well. The view count is not as high as I'd like to see, considering the amount of work I've poured into them.

  • @ryandpahl hey who cares the total...think of how many of the current views that you have helped...

  • @0122358

True, but I find it funny that there are sooo many retarded shooting videos of people who have no clue what they are doing. And they get millions of views. I create a decent quality instructional video and no one seems to want to watch them.

The internet , its a strange thing. I guess my videos are not entertaining enough...

  • @ryandpahl oh trust me man, for those of us who are serious about this sport....this is as good as it gets...:)

  • @0122358

Thanks again, thats a real compliment. Im glad people appreciate the work that goes into these.

  • @ryandpahl Most people don't respond to quality but rather react to spectacular things. I really appreciate the work you went thru to produce those excellent videos. Quality is far superior to quantity.

  • @aklisven

glad you liked them. I have a few more ideas for the coming season of competetive shooting. This series is not yet complete.

  • @cdlcheck

Thanks for the advice. I have easy access to devcon and was considering it. Thanks for the heads-up.

  • @cdlcheck

I know, but I wanted to make these rounds fit the magazine. Most of my shooting is in a single shot format, so I really should switch back.

  • Wow. Good stuff. Thanks for posting

  • @ryandpahl

when will you release part 8?

  • @Hardcorehenmar22

Working on it right now...these things take time to make!

I have almost all of the video footage I need to complete the series. But, photo and audio are captued on the spot as I edit the whole thing together. Hopefully part 8 will be ready for the weekend.

  • dude, u rock

  • dude, u rock

  • Are those weather changes actually common?

  • @AzNgiftedkid

Weather switches are very common here, but not usually this drastic.

Its happens a couple times a year, hot and sunny on monday and snowing by friday. I have seen snow in EVERY month of the year. I have also seen Bright sun, snow, rain, and hail all with-in the same 24 hour period.

Just this last April we had thundering snow showers. Thats Lightning inside a snow storm...crazy.

  • Haha we too in ottawa got snow in may, nothing really unusual though, its Canada!

  • Good vid but the case as a lot to do with how good your round turns out. Think about the case as benign the frame to a house, neck wall thickness, it holds the bullet and case weight can change vol. in the case. Flash hole bad ignition or uneven ignition. Fits in the chamber. I like the nosler custom brass they are weighted, beburred. And wall thickness is about .014 all the way round the neck. Bad frame F%$###$%% up house.

ps i here it is hard to buy a gun in canada?

  • @TheRem700308win

I can only report that which I have learned through trial and error. Thats why I made mention that case preperation is more important than the brand name on the case. So far I have only used remington and winchester brass, and noticed no real difference in precision. My next set will be Lapua.

Bolt action firearms are not so bad, pistols and assault style rifles are much more difficult to get your hands on.

  • @ryandpahl got 100rd of lapua case a few month back was not happy. got some nosler custom very very very happy with. i tryed win, rem, mill case, hornady i will only buy nosler custom my2cent..

  • @TheRem700308win

    Good to know.

  • @ryandpahl Oh. I heard the firearm law update in the newspaper. lol.

  • Oh! So that's why everyone around here loads with Varget!

    Good to know. Great video!

  • nice vid! anywhere else i go it is all confusing but you put in a format that is easy to under stand! thatnks for the videos

  • another great vid mate, its good to keep the somewhat less intresting dry theoretical parts mixed up with some footage of shots :)

  • @distordedmediaZ

I try to keep it interesting. This video went through 3 different edits before I was happy with it.

Like always, theroy is great to know, but practice and shooting are way more fun!

  • nice.

you put safety above all else.

  • @ss33988

Absolutely, I hope that vibe is running in all my videos.

  • this guide is EXTREMELY helpfull! thanks alot dude you've taught me a heck of alot more about my rifle then anyone else on youtube, the guide itself is extremely professional and your easy to understand with every step you do, i never have to go back and relisten to what you've just said

  • @tecna64

Thanks! I take great pains to make it that way. I hate having to hit the rewind button when watching other videos on the Net.

  • lol, I see your kid is also helping out, nice

thanks for the great video (as always)

  • Great stuff, like always. :D

  • ME WANT VIDJA.... ME WANT VIDJA NOW!

  • if you are shooting in competitions why would you need multiple rifles?

  • @leafsfan9917

One rifle is NEVER enough. 3 guns is the bare minimum.

12 Ga. Shotgun for skeet, .22LR for cheap plinking fun, and a centerfire rifle for long range. If handguns were easier to own in Canada, I would have one on the list as well.

  • @ryandpahl Oh I understand why you would have different guns for different reasons but I thought you were setting up two different target rifles, which just seemed unnecisary...

  • your daughters adorable ^-^

  • Very good videos. Looking forward to the next.

  • I'm slowing down. Need to get to work and finish this series off....

  • Awesome like always :D

  • nice

  • so much work

    but rewarding

  • 1st rate, Comment, and view. Keep up the great work. Love the videos
