  • This is a great song...also a fav off the new album...Ryan tends to dominate the guitar sounds live, always turning up, cranking the pedals, etc etc...this seems to be no different. My view is he should "go easy" on the volume thing and let his sound join the mix more, rather than lead it. I've seen you live man - your sound person is first class...put some trust in them!

Anywho...long live the career of the Cardinals. Cold Roses has not left my 6 stacker from its launch day!

  • Perhaps it is due to his hearing loss?

  • That would make sense...or possibly a need to dominate? But yes, hearing loss is a real issue for so many muso's. Wonder why he doesn't let up and wear plugs? I do - saved my arse totally...

  • Maybe he does wear plugs...didn't mean to assume. Only issue with plugs is the tonl quality of your rig changes, no matter how good the plugs are.

  • He evidently has very serious internal ear damage in one ear. I was under the impression that he has used plugs during some concerts but it may be that they make it too hard to hear the nuances of the band. He's quite the perfectionist according to one of his band members.

  • my fave off the new album!

  • my first RA&RC show and I am hooked... easily among the top shows I've seen in 25 years... I've been listening to the Boston show for a couple weeks hoping for something like that and this completely blew me away.

  • Thanks for this. I was there last night. 3rd row. Very odd (inebriated) crowd but Ryan and The Cards were freakin great.
