It isn't about how "stupid" or "retarded" they felt while doing this commerical, it's the final look of the whole thing, and if it's going to advertise the drink nicely. The answer to that, is yes. The commerical is amazing, and by the looks of it more the half of the viewers enjoyed it. It's not your average drink commerical, so that could be why. If your friend was afraid to open it because he though a laser would kill him, then I'm sorry to say your friend needs some serious help.
