  • Just bought the puzzle box special edition box set

  • this movie was freaking awesome... you totally shit bricks watching it..

  • Much power in these pins.

  • "Come here and die, girl, while you still have the option of doing it quickly."

    Pinhead is a muthafuckin' pimp.

Can't wait for Clive Barker's novel The Scarlet Gospels. We get to see the true origins of Pinhead, his true name, and his ultimate defeat/death.

  • Another unforgetable theme to a great horror movie...thanks clive

  • Big lots is having a sale on cubes today, "half off on every fire stick you buy!".

  • If the puzzle box did not make the coolest rubiks cube then I got nothing... only be better if they would make the center circle section have separate movement so you could slide your thumb around it.

  • @chainz1129 I actually covered a rubiks cube with the puzzle box design i copied and printed out. it looks good for what it is.

  • Exelent!!!

  • Coil version is better

  • I adore the special and make up effects in the Hellraiser movies. I don't even want to begin to imagine the amout of time Doug Bradley spent in the make up artist's chair. Clive Barker is one very messed up son of a bitch, but how can you not love that if you're a horror movie fan?? For that time period, the acting and effects were top notch.

  • @AliceLovesJasper1510 i think clive has a fetish with bodys flesh and blood and messed up fetishes

  • @volkswag12 Believe it or not, Clive Barker is gay. Like that matters, but I thought it was interesting. Anyways... Added on to the horror aspect, the Cenobites show a continuous theme of Bondage and Slave-Master. If you look at their clothing and just their styling altogether it is one of those "oh yeah never noticed that" moments. Anyways thought I'd share that haha

  • @AliceLovesJasper1510

You think the movie's bad? Read his Books of Blood.

"I have seen the future of horror, and his name is Clive Barker" ~Stephen King upon reading Books of Blood.

  • this film makes you think twice about picking up the arubic cube, i hope they dont remake it

remake candyman, manic cop, or anything else please

  • time to play.....

  • @romeodelta1178 We'll tear your soul apart!

  • [iminent=zkeQvAgUWfOB] met ashley lawrence,doug bradley,andrew robinson.all sweet hearts!!!

  • Thumbs up if you think Pinhead, NOT Freddy Krueger, should've been the 4th DLC in Mortal Kombat.

  • @KristianKronicles Probably not, firstly it'd be unfair on all the other characters, secondly Pinhead's not a brawler like Freddy or Jason, he doesn't need to be

  • it sounds alot like the fly 2 theme

  • "For now... Go. Explore. We'll have an eternity to know your flesh." Favorite Line.

  • he's among my fave composers . i seek out movies just coz he scored them. haha

  • wow a ramake of hellraiser coming?? this first one scared the crap out of me honeslty with the music score and chilling and haunting environments.. wonder if the new one will be up to snuff

  • @franmicgom NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • @franmicgom it won't, trust me, I mean they've already decided Pinhead's gonna look like a bloody mess, does that inspire confidence? Also look at the other Slasher remakes, like the recent Halloween and NOES remakes, not very good at all

  • @Murdock129 NOES??? yea it obviously can't be as good because the first hellraiser came first and it will always have that, like a guy who has a girl first always has the biggest impression the second guy is just sloppy seconds lol bad analogy maybe :P but anyways the first will always have that shock and awe that the second will forever try to recreate and most likely fail trying to do so.

  • @franmicgom doubtful the remake will live up to the original, but then again, has any remake ever trumped the original? Whether the remake is good or not, we'll end up watching it anyway just to see it, sad as that sounds lol.

  • @Bystandah Haha yea it will probably suck because the first one was original and had not been done before and the shock and awe of it's moments can never again be duplicated in a new movie in the same way, anyways the only remake i can think of that was actually better than the original is john carpenters "the thing" in 1982 which was a remake of the movie by the same name from 1960 i think, actually saw the remake of the remake this year and obviously not as good as the 1982 versio

  • @franmicgom

It wasn't a remake. It was a prequel.

  • @DrStrangefate my mistake, it was in fact a prequel

  • @franmicgom

Did you see it by any chance?

I loved how the during-the-credits scene tied right into Carpenter's 82 flick.

  • @DrStrangefate Yes, I saw it a little while ago and yea that was pretty neat, I'm actually really looking forward to "prometheus" i guess it's supposed to be an "Alien" prequel, the trailer looks pretty awesome anyways..

  • @franmicgom Yeah Scott can pussyfoot all he wants now. He's been claiming it's NOT a prequel but it clearly is.

The Space Jockey was shown in the trailer so I'd say its pretty conclusive. I'm psyched either way.

  • 6 people were fan of the movie called "Heavenraiser"...

  • :Explorers in the further regions of experience. Demons to some. Angels to others.

  • The greatest horror film ever made, right next to The Excorist.

  • I've never wanted to put together a Rubix cube..thinking back to how I saw this movie when I was 4 I suddenly realize why.

  • @PalaceOfExile No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering

  • I've only seen clips of these movies, but they look like the creation of Tim Burton's long-lost, fucked-up older brother...

And oddly enough, I like that.

  • @elezzar A REMAKE?! It will suck balls. And not in a good way. I saw the Fright Night remake trailer and it looks AWFUL. The guy who plays Jerry Dandridge has NO CHARISMA. Gutless, crappy, UNNECESSARY! WHYYYY!

  • greatest composer

  • So fucking good

  • 6 people had their soul torn apart.

  • Love the movie and the music Christopher young FTW <3

  • The first four are the only ones I've seen. The others don't seem to have anything to do with the original story. NO wonder they went direct to video. LOL!

  • we have such sights to show you :)

  • RUBIX CUBE

  • loved this movie, when i was a kid.

  • "Pain? How dare you use that word against me... Your suffering will be legendary even in Hell." ---Pinhead

  • The box you opened it we came. Now it is time for you to taste our pleasures.

  • this movie is gold!!! classic horror !!! i hope hollywoood doesnt try to remake this but, I heard they were at one point.

  • @jr8126 too late

  • @jr8126 the director of the remake, said in an interview "We want to approach the massive Hellraiser mythology that exists and with that, do something unique. One of the things we didn't want to do... We think Clive's film stands on its own. We think it's brilliant and it made such a specific, dark vision at the time unlike anything that came before it. So just doing a remake of his movie but with more money is NOT something we wanted to do. We want to work within the Hellraiser lexicon"

  • this is from the 3rd one right

  • welcome to oblivion.....

  • 6 people dislike it that jesus wept

  • Some of horrors best lines were delivered by Doug Bradley as Pinhead. "We'll tear your soul apart" "We have such sights to show you and "Oh please no tears, its a waste of good suffering!" 10 thumbs up for this masterpiece of a theme and movie

  • @TheKliqOf3

Agreed. Pinhead was a philosopher. After 20 years i still loving this movie and the soundtrack. There were some romanticism (sophistication) in this movie.

  • @TheKliqOf3 What about "I...AM...PAIN." ????

  • I Love this Score its Very Creepy and Haunting the way this Score starts I Love The Hellraiser and The Fly 2 Scores Christopher Young is an amazing Composer This Score is so Epic they Don't Make Music scores Like this anymore

  • 1,2 and 3 of this series are the best horror's ever created. even with the bad special FX of the first one they still top every other horror I've ever seen.

In my opinion at least :)

  • pinhead =D best song ever,,,,

  • this song is pain :)

  • I love this theme, but remember how vibrant and strong this theme was when Pinhead appeared in Hellraiser 2? That part isnt in this theme sadly.

  • hmmm, wondering where they got the idea of these kinds of things from, or the style they're depicted, it's pretty harsh, and the "harsh" paintings of hell and all that I've seen from the medieval era is just... mehh... whatever I've seen this kind of style in a variety of things, but I've never been able to tell where the style came from, the aesthetics style of those things, aren't they from christianity as well? weird

  • One of the best themes in film history. It could almost be a Danny Elfman score. If they re-make Hellraiser, Tim Burton should make it.

  • @dubj630 Oh man, I gotta disagree on this one. I would fear he might make the story a little too whimsical. Tim Burton can do dark, but I don't think he can do horror very well. Just my opinion! :)

  • @kurukururock i agree. Burton would screw it up! Clive Barker should be involved in the remake but it will need more story telling in th enew ones; to make people understand the origins of the box....why someone like Frank; who yearned for the box was desperate to leave after being in th eplace he sought! More focus on the Cenobites too.

  • @themax316 disagree disagree and disagree. Frank did not know he would be going to hell, no one would willingly open the box if they knew what it did, they opened it only because they believed it would give them experience beyond what they felt on earth, not knowing the true power of the box. No surprise why frank wanted out. We dont need everything explained, part of the "charm" of the originals was because they box was so mysterious, and that goes with the Cenobites as well,

  • @johnkerry7 i agree with having mystery but please explain why the doctor would want to go into "hell" when he has seen what Julia was like? My point is; there is this emphasis on pain but not really pleasure....is pleasure just used to lure them in? Don't get me wrong; I'm a huge fan of Hellraiser....and I mean huge!

  • @themax316 i always thot it was more pleasure for the cenobites :/ but yea its an epic movie. pinhead totally owns freddy and jason

  • @johnkerry7 I would have to agree. No one would open the box if they knew what followed. I also wanted to point out that the box does deliver an extraordinary experience to those who open it. There was just no exact explanation on what that experience is.

  • @themax316 less is more with these movies, as was proved by the terrible sequels (though bloodline i kind of liked).

  • @dubj630 Blasphemy... tim burton will turn it a disney gothic crap with Johnny deph... Only Clive Barker must direct a remake or a sequel of Hellraiser...

  • you can just tell the remake of this classic is going to suck big time for a start no Doug Bradley as pinhead shamefull .lets see here hmm halloween ,friday the 13th ,elm street, texas chainsaw plus god awful other remakes there are so many but there's a pattern forming you all know what i mean when will hollywood leave the classics alone . to quote frank from hellraiser just before he gets torn apart i think it sums it up nicely about remakes "JESUS WEPT"

  • Hellraiser the shit

  • what a fantastic score....i grew up with this movie and love it still today :) Clive Barker is a genius for giving us a world where pain and pleasure are infused together. "Demon to some...Angel to others."

  • So awesome

  • Like this music

  • "Explorers from the further regions of experience. Demons to some, angels to others." -- Xanthippe (Lead Cenobite) "Hellraiser"

  • @gspendlove no his name is pinhead

  • @dragoncaretaker94 My mistake...I got the name mixed up. From Wikipedia:

"In the comic book series, Pinhead is depicted as the latest incarnation of the cenobite spirit Xipe Totec, an entity derived from Aztec mythology."

I don't know where I got "Xanthippe" from, although the two names have a passing similarity. "Pinhead" was a nickname the film crew on Hellraiser gave to the Lead Cenobite. Clive Barker never cared for it; too diminutive, he said. I agree.

  • @dragoncaretaker94 - he's known as the Engineer. Pinhead, as stated, was a name given by the crew on the film and it stuck

  • @SuperClark50 Wasn't he called the engineer just in Inferno?

  • @dragoncaretaker94 - Clive Barker had him as the Engineer from the start, even in The Hellbound heart, although I can't remember if he's named in it offhand

  • @dragoncaretaker94 in the hellbound heart, too. way fuckin' scarier.

  • @catseatingclouds I'm reading that right now

  • best horror creatures ever, the cenobites

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE CENOBITES (best movie ever)

  • does anyone know where i can get a copy of this track?

  • @fabian1599511a Amazon might be a good place. iTunes also! Don't think they sell them at stores anymore.

  • Angels to those willing to endure the pain before they can feel true pleasure. Read the Hellbound Heart. It doesn't say it straight up, but that's my interpretation.

  • @codyofga Correct

  • awesome

  • hey fucik you

  • the ultimate fuck you .. to a job you dont like.....hahahahahahha....!!!!!

  • you know. i don't get it and yet i do why most women are wanting to have his baby. its strange to me but i was watcing around halloween Bravo and they had 101 scarest movies of all time and this one came up and the make up guy said that they get fan letters from women addresd to hell raiser that they want to have his baby and be his lover.... no. actualy i don't get it.

  • there haven to the ones who love to live in pain and suffering as they do but hell to all others i recon thats what the line means :)

  • Fucking amazing PERIOD!

  • That "cat" is scary!!

  • Comment removed

  • @PyramidHead333

You best clean your trousers then.

  • @Hot5six4231 Lol

  • I have noticed that pinhead and co. Aren't really evil per se, they mainly go after whomever solved the lament cinfigureation and those who escaped them. But once free however I noticed that they tend to have a bit of "fun" with others who stumble upon them. I haven't seen them actively stalking and going after random people who don't know about them.

  • hellraiser theme so fits silent hill 1

  • Clive Barkers awesome, apparently, pinhead was a dream he had.

  • Classic theme! They sure don't make 'em like this anymore

  • WE WILL TEAR YOUR SOUL APPART !

  • Pinhead FTW

  • man i love this, sounds so epic

  • this music is fantastic. It suits the movie perfectly this deserves to be up there with the best horror movie scores

  • Please make another great film like this Clive Barker. Horror films now just aren't the same.

  • Not nearly as good as Coils' version...

  • Not nearly as good as Coil's version...

  • The best soundtrack ever made!!!

  • We will tear your soul apart!!!

  • Movies are in the dark ages right now. All we have are remakes, upon remakes, upon more remakes. I can name several just off the top of my head that just came out: Wolfman, A-team, Clash of the Titans, Nightmare on Elm Street. I don't even want to add them all up. I really hope the remake of Hellraiser isn't crap...

  • great soundtrack hellraiser.

  • Young's music is awesome!

  • This is really beautiful, even for a commercial flick (which I love dearly btw).

  • They don't want to harm everyone. Their goal is to provide their sense of "pleasure" to those have the desire for what's in the box. Example in Hellraiser: Hellbound the second movie when Tiffany opens the box Pinhead tells the Female and the other Cenobites that isn't hands that call them but desire. So people who do not have the desire usually wouldn't solve the box on their own.

  • scary music!!

  • did Christopher inspires in another score? I've heard this one on the Vancouver games, from China I think, but of curse isn't the same.

    Some one?

  • @Enriquehack Japan's Mao Asada skated to the "Bells of Moscow"

    by Sergei Rachmaninov....

  • @Beeftink14 THANKS A LOT!!!! beautiful music.

  • That Daemon to some, angel to others line is horribly misleading... i thought the cenobites will be bad to evil people, but they want to harm everybody who they can while they are summoned. Who are they angel to?

  • @AMYuntold probably for those who seek hell.

  • @Jaquitita

those who take pleasure in torture ect ect, and yes the above those who seek evil.

  • @Jaquitita it all depends on the individuals desires

  • @Jaquitita To those looking beyond the limits of pleasure...

  • @KokoroNoSama Oh yes. Oh most certainly. Your most treasured depravity is child's play beside the

    experiences the cenobites offer.

  • @AMYuntold Those who seek their very special variety of pleasure.

  • Well, in the second movie they didn't kill the girl who summoned them. They said something in the lines of "It is desire, not hands that calls us". If someone calls the cenobites then they have "desire". Desire can mean curiosity it seems.

  • those who get off on pain.

  • @AMYuntold Read the book titled "The Hellbound Heart" that Hellraiser is based on.

  • @AMYuntold

They are angels to MASOXISTS ;)

  • @AMYuntold most likely people who are evil themselves and wish to find the boundaries of evil, much like whats-his-face did when he first found the box. Frank. he said he was shown pleasure and pain at the same time. to him, the were angels.

a good person at heart will never understand the pleasures of evil, while the evil will never understand the intention of good.

  • @sparktank There is no good and evil with cenobites, there is only flesh.

  • @NecroNikolai13 Lol, you should have that on a t-shirt, then enjoy the look of panic in the parents at some family resort as you walk by with it...

  • @AMYuntold They are explorers in the realm of pain, seeking only to inflict it. They are demons to most people, angels to people like masochists who actually get off on being in pain. The book explains it better, they pretty much cause sensory overload, make you feel, see, smell, etc so much that you are in pain from it all.

  • @AMYuntold

Or those who consider pain pleasure, which is what Clive Barker was getting at.

  • @AMYuntold Well, considering the movies and human nature in general, we're all instinctively drawn to finding new sensations and experiences, and the Cenobites represent this. The Cenobites offer sensations that make all others pale in comparison, and to those who seek them out, they can be seen as angels.

  • @AMYuntold

cenobite are kind of priest for a sadomasochist cult. they are meant to explore the border between infinite pleasure and pain...

  • @AMYuntold They are Angels to people who want the "pleasure" they offer

  • Comment removed

  • @AMYuntold The catchphrase actually comes with a point. A terrifying point.

  • @AMYuntold They are Angel to those who have a fetish for pain.

  • @AMYuntold Sado-Masochists?

  • @AMYuntold umm, maybe you havent seen the first hellraiser movie, but they are the heros. they stop frank right before he kills kristy. if that aint angel, then i dont know what is.

  • @AMYuntold:

They are angels to people who seek the experience of pain and destruction, the sound of razors ripping through flesh...

  • @AMYuntold

    Masochists?

  • @AMYuntold Read the book and pay better attention to the movie.

  • @AMYuntold it shows that good and evil it's just a point of view. cenobytes offers new sensations...

  • @AMYuntold The movie revolves around sadomasochism, they are angels to those who consider the what's inside the puzzle box "wonders," like it was hinted at fairly early in the movie.

  • @AMYuntold those that seek the other extreme of pleasure, immeasurable amount of pain.

  • @AMYuntold

It's a dichotomy of Pleasure and Pain being 'one'. Clive barker who wrote the film said he was inspired by the subculture of S & M and people into things as bondage and masochism where pleasure was a by product of a certain pain element. It's a carnal fetish and you may have viewed it in typical 'christian' black and white thinking!

  • @AMYuntold Angel to those who like pain. Watch Hellraiser II

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @AMYuntold I think the line refers to the idea of masochism. Clive Barker uses this metaphor frequently in both movies, even the poles with all the torture tools dangling reflect the idea of this being pleasurable to some people.

  • @AMYuntold Masochists perhaps?

  • @AMYuntold - what is meant by that is - for the sick, twisted people who went through whatever means they could to get the box just so they could open it and get hurt by Pinhead. Since they wanted to open the box for the reason of being either killed or turned into cenobites they see Pinhead as an angel.

  • The music of mistery this is.

  • Creepy.

  • thanks for uploading i love this

  • do know how old andrew robinson's daughter would be during the filming of hellraiser

  • @664kiara you mean ashley laurence? sches born in may 28 1966 the movie was released in 1987 so i think the filming whas in 1986 so she was 20

  • i meant his real life daughter rachel she was born some time in the 70's but i do not know wha year in the 70's
