Some bits where it's not quite there but hey ! We've all done that. On the other hand there are some parts that really grab me by the balls. Practice those parts and chuck the flat bits out, you know which ones they are. Page is all about just letting go , warts n all without giving a shit, just pouring it all out straight from the heart. If you can do that, who gives a rat's arse about mistakes ?
not bad, kudos to having the balls to post it warts and all. Hey, how about posting a follow up? I'm interested to hear how you've grown in the past 2 years
to improvise is to "invent, compose, with little or no preparation". What you did here was..over time..you figured out, and learned much, but not all, of a particular portion of a Jimmy Page solo. This is your "rendition / interpretation"...and it is a VERY GOOD kick at the can, amigo! Some segments are stronger than others...but there aren't any 'weak" parts. I see you put it up over a year ago. I'll bet that you can play an even better interpretation now.
I meant, Treble pick up, not rhythm. But yeah. Observe Jimmy's playing. Especially from 1973-present. He picks very close or on top of the treble pick up which is an element to his sound. But anyway, you have his tone down anyway it sounds like to me.
@MrDrProfessorJrMD I would say Jimmy picks closer to his Bridge pickup. If you watch him play he has his hand resting on the back of the bridge, so it would be hard to pick near the neck pickup, don't you think?
i think this is a huge compliment, because, if you're right, i got this solo note for note and then i learned it the speed jimmy did...no, i just followed the A scale and shuffled up a bit
it's similar, i said it, to how the west was won, but non the same

dude This is very very good. This is coming from a guy who improvises all of his solos. I know I could not have done this that well.

Pillagerox 3 years ago

Thanks for your comment
muttiplay 3 years ago
The tone does sound the same. Did you also pick the strings closer to the rhythm pick up like Jimmy does?
MrDrProfessorJrMD 2 years ago
i don't remember... i don't think so, i didn't know this trick.

great job
Is tabbing that possible?
if not, what key for the solo around 2 minutes and on.
great job anyway!
lookylooky2006 4 years ago
thank you!
it's key of A, just like the studio solo
muttiplay 3 years ago
in A the whole time? i've gotten pretty good at the real thing but i want to add improv and i cant get the key
Guitarhero617 3 years ago
i used just the A chord, but not only the A pentatonic scale...i'll wait to see your version
bye!
muttiplay 3 years ago
not bad but it lacks a bi of note duration variation to be honest. 5 stars anyways for the effort.
