@penialol Hi There. Im playing a E- minor pentatonic scale, Im starting out in the fifth position and then continuing into first position in the 12th fret. so the run would be like this. E/10 E/12 A/10 A/12 D/9 D12 G/9 G12 D/12 G/9 G/12 B/10 B/12 B/10 G/12.... Then moving up to the pentatonic position in the 12th fret. Starting out from the d on the 15th fret on the b string. I hope you can translate the "tap". Hope this helps you out;).
Great tone Henrik! You're obviously influenced by Eric Johnson and it shows very nicely. Nice control of those slight bends and hybrid picking to get that violin-like sound!
@HenrikBerger Is it the G-DEC 3 30 amp that you recently bought? The one with the blue digital screen? or the original G-DEC 30? The new ones have lots of features and presets and you can tweak it up....
@JeffreyCentino97 Hi I bought the old G-dec 30, a friend of mine bought the 15 from me and I decided to opgrade to the 30... Yeah the new G-dec 30 looks cool;)
my gdeck knob is crazy it sucks i love the gdeck but when i try to turn the knob it skips like mad. and if i had a cord that short i would definatly f some stuff up. lol great video\
Absolutely brilliant playing, and very inspirational! I've just recently upgraded to an American Strat HSS, and have been doing a lot of research of a suitable amp (hence finding your video). I've finally decided that I cannot get what I want from just one amp and settled on a 2nd hand G-DEC off ebay for amp modelling, backing tracks, practice and fun, and a new Fender Blues Junior, for a pure tube vibe. Hopefully that should be a nice combination. Please post more!
Very nice. Been thinking about purchasing a G-DEC30 and was checking out various videos of the amp in use. By far, yours is the best demo of the amps tonal quality. The song was perfectly suited for it. Again, very nice.
Henrik, Awesome stuff!! Youve inspired me to learn to play. Just bought a GDEC and a Mexican Strat. Thanks for posting this! I looked through the comments but didnt see what preset you were using?
I´m thrilled you liked it that much, here are the settings on the amp:) Remember to play alot, not just practice alot, all good music comes from playing, use your guitar as your playground:)
Ampsettings are as follow.
Amp type = Dynatouch4 Gain = 1.0 Amp Vol.= 7.1 Bass = 7.8 Middle = 10.0 Treble = 2.4
Compressor Off Timbre= None Noise Gate Low
And for effects I used the Tapedelay and the Springdelay ( Flutter 9.5 Brightness 6.0)
Thanks Henrik, Im still going strong. Playing all major and minor chords so far. My fingers are sore, but I cant get enough. I just wanted to say again that your music on this one video made a difference in the world! I had some Fender vintage noiseless pickups put in my Lake Placid Blue Mex Strat. Sound much better than stock pickups.
I have always used guage 0.10-0.46, straight up pair of ten´s, I am using Rockers at the moment, mostly because I got a great deal on them, I prefer Ernie Ball Slinky´s 0.10, those are great strings with good good tone, however these Rockers tend to keep the tone for more than one gig. Good luck on the 64... expensive stuff :).
Thank you very much for the kind words, to you quoc1vu, I have postet my settings in a previous answer, so please scroll back in the text comments, and you will find it :)
Right on man, I loved it. Felt like I was watching Miami Vice or something. I don't mean that in a dicky way, just the vibe I got from it. Like I should have the sleaves of my sportcoat pushed up to my elbows. Keep rockin'
If I only had the money ;) I am looking for a great 56,57, or 58 Strat, but they are very rare here in Denmark, but I have my eyes set on a 58, which sounded great... however I´m am thrilled about this old fighter, it really is very smoth and sounds awesome... show me yours 50´S Strat :)
I do indeed have huge respect for Mr. Johnson, and yes he is an influence, as is J. Hendrix, Y.J. Malmsteen, M. Knopfler, E. Clapton, D. Huff, J. Satriani, S.Lukather and ofcourse the man who got me hooked on guitar Mr. John Norum. But I have listened to many more guitarists, and "borrowed" the things I like from every single one:) .
This amp is the G-dec 15, same as the g-dec 30, but lesser watts, and lesser bandloops. I planning on getting the g-dec 30, so maybe in near future I will post a video with that one.

awesome video - and playing - would you be willing to share the chords you are using for the song -
you should make a cd and sell this song - I would buy it in a heartbeat - -
Keep it up buddy - you are frikin awesome -
one last question- are those stock pickups in the strat or are they replacements?
