  • HBK: Hogan's out promoting his new reality tv show hogan knows best

    Fans:Booooooooooo

    HBK: Than you've seen it

  • @Wsymphony jealousy? Hilarious!

  • i love his shoot promos

  • why does HBK say "be careful what you wish for Vince, you might get it? "

  • @justinkingwilliams24 it was on Shawn's DVD he said that Vince asked Shawn to act like the heel he was in 1997-98 how he was so rebellious and didn't care what any one said or thought about him. Shawn didn't really want to because it would cause problems.

  • HBK has a TV show know lol

  • A lot of jeolousy coming out of HBK.

  • haha Fireworks have always hate HBK

  • Thing is, everyone know that HBK is everything that Hogan was and so much more. HBK is the kind of performer Hogan, even in his prime, wishes he could have been

  • he doesnt want to have his own tv show but now he has some hunting show on the outdoor network what a hypocrite

  • Legend :)

  • HBK FOR PRESIDENT

  • HBK vs The Rock. Will it happen?

  • You wanted the old HBK? You got HIM! Love it when he says in the classic "heel" HBK line, the Showstoppa, the Headliner, the Main Event, the ICON!!! Great stuff..

  • Shawn had everything Hulk Hogan had plus wrestling ability

  • Shawn is right about every damn thing he said about Hogan. Living off a rep he earned over 20 years ago.

  • i miss hbk :(

  • I love this HBK! The old HBK!! The "heel" HBK! This is the HBK that I'm gonna miss. There was some reservations about this angle that I recall. When the WWE was promoting this angle, they wanted Shawn to be the "heel" in this match and go to his "97-98" persona like you see here. Shawn said, "are you sure you want me to do this"? cuz, "I'll kill him on the stick". Vince reassured him and said that "Terry(Hulk) is business". HBK agreed and let loose. This is the HBK that I'll always remember!

  • HBK truley the greatest of all time! at the end of the vid just after he approaches the camera to warn vince, check out the jack nicholeson laugh as he leaves the ring... vintage showstopper!!!

  • HBK heel promos = awesome.

  • freaking amazing shawn michaels is truely the best pr owrestler EVER in the ring doing promos heel or face match sychology EVERYTHING and hogan is a dick and shawn just burried him in this promo by tellingthe truth and at summerslam when he overselled hbk u are the greatest

  • I was there!!

  • "4 weeks away from Summerslam" we don't hear that nowadays :P

  • @DropAGemOnThem you r wrong triple h and hbk started the attitude era it has it on couple of hbk's dvds (hence the the suck-it chop) gotta get your facts straight

  • Future Hall of famer

  • @BelieveNFantasy He is now in Hall Of Fame Yayy

  • Heel HBK = greatest of all time!!!! :D

  • People are such marks for Hogan, What a joke! Everything HBK said is true! HBK is better then Hogan! Period!!

  • @skippysippy lol i was arguing with a guy on youtube on another video the one with shawn overselling at summerslam about how shawn is o much better specifically in the ring he is the best ever and everything else and hogan is just more popular he is like hbk is not even tat good in the ring and hogan is better lol

  • hulk that is how its done hbk the showstopper and G.O.A.T.

  • how....would you like sitting behind those idiots...that held their signs up the whole time?

  • funny thing is that hbk and latino heat at that time both of them were born again christians and both heels in that time at 2005

  • Damn HBK was really an outlaw wrestler in the WWF/E and thats one think that i admire about Shawn xp

  • HBK is by far better & bigger than hogan. Hbk is 1 of the guys whose great on the mic being and face or heel and having 5 star matches every time he wrestles. Hogan is in great shape and has some loyal fans but is not a great wrestler by any standards.

  • GOOD GRIEF, he is saying stuff that maybe should have not be said in the first place.... the logo on the bottomleft side that signals the end of the show came up and he kept on talking DAMN he is pissed (or VINCE is pissed! ^^)

  • Great Promo

  • funny he says that cause he truly is was and eve rwill be ;] the greatest in ring peformer of all time..he had that magic in big match cituations

  • The wwe writers told hbk to give them like he was in 98, there ya go...

  • Shawn is so motherfucking badass in this promo. Tells the truth and doesn't give a fuck.

  • Nice finger-poke reference Shawn. Well done. I love Shawn Michaels

  • holy Moses....what a promo....unreal.

  • Hbk made it look so real.

Hbk made this feud a summerslam main event but at end the egomaniac triumphs.. WTF!

  • @jsmithbab6 I think a lot of it was real. I get the feeling HBK meant everything he said about Hogan. Hulk may be a bigger "star" but HBK is the better wrestler.

  • i love how they wanted hbk to be like he was back in 97/98 the shit that got him in alot of trouble. hahaha but hey "be careful what you wish for Vince you might get it" bad ass promo. better then anyone could do. Rocky may have been good at fast trash talking. but HBK Owns the mic. he always knows how to use the time hes given. always.

  • @Theprav

Damn straight. Shawn Michaels tells the truth when he says that Hogan lives off a reputation that he created 20 years ago...the same old tired stuff. HBK goes out every night and "...recreates..." himself. HBK > Hogan

  • someone is kissing someones ass coach douchebag!

  • screw hulk hogan, hbk all the way

  • "MAKEUP !!!!!"

    LMAO

Shawn Michaels was the best showman.

  • @wwexsw What's there funny in that MAKE UP callout?

I agree with the second part though. Shawn is the best showman. Hats off legend.

  • Persinally I never liked Hulk Hogan... so I loved HBK more than ever here!

  • Wow, HBK & The Rock >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>canada

  • i quit honastly love this if wwe was like this now tna would be dead and bearyd long ago

  • MAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I luv work shoots or shoot promos. It's exciting and controversial

  • LMFAO XD MAKE UP! HBK is the best ;D

  • is this a work shoot????

  • Well lets see what Hogan did: Lift of Andre the Giant for the first time...great great

Shawn Michaels: Atitude Era, First Iron Man match that stole the wrestlemania show, Revolutionized Ladder match in wrestlemania, Retired the Best wrestler Ric Flair at wrestlemania, Hell in a Cell match, The Rockers in the end of the 80's that made high flyer wrestling famous, 1st Elimination Chamber Match, 1st wrestler to win all the titles available, D-Generation X

  • @xtremerockomaniac If you think about it Shawn Michaels almost single handedly altered the landscape of the wrestling business in the 90's. The success of Hall and Nash in the WWF was due in large part to there association with HBK which led to them getting lucrative contracts in WCW which led to the NWO. The infamous curtain call cost HHH his spot at King of the Ring which went to Steve Austin which led to Austin 3:16. And the Montreal Screw job led to the birth of the Mr McMahon character.

  • i bow down to the showstopper!

  • WOW no one i mean no one can do a promo or speech like hbk

  • HBK forever.

  • Wow. I saw this segment five years ago, but back then I was scratching my head on the underlying message.

But now, I truly understand what he's really talking about, and at this particular moment I have all the respect to the Heartbreak Kid. And the bottom line is the man has balls.

  • MAKE UP!

  • Shawn Michaels performed better in his 40's than Hulk Hogan did in his 30's...his prime.

  • im so pissed. hbk should've beat hogan. i mean it's so obvious he can.

  • @xSweetxLenax

That's Hulk Hogan for ya...uses his backstage politics to get his way. That's why I'm so glad that Shawn oversold the match at Summerslam '05 to make Hogan look like a fool. He even mentions in the promo that Hogan uses the same wrestling tactics over and over again.

  • @nDnStUnNa10 i know right. and his finisher is so whack. the leg drop? no one loses to that. so retarded and folks this is just my opinion but a superkick can knock the hell out of you not a leg drop. LOVE YOU HBK.

  • @xSweetxLenax Yeah. Like anyone actually lies there for 10 mins waiting for the leg drop.

  • hbk, ur not just the main event 4 ss ur the main event period.

  • 0:17 '' What in world is that?? MAKE UUUP!!! ''

  • Shawn is the best ever

25 years he's been doing this and is still has good as ever

  • When HBK said "everybody's running around in the back having a conniption"..I had to say then that MAN I LOVE LIVE TV!! This would've probably been cut out of Smackdown all together!

  • When he said "be careful what you wish for Vince- you just might get it" I wonder if it was a shoot. I know he asked Hulk ahead of time stuff he was gonna say and Hogan said he was fine with it but in reality he wasn't and talked behind Michaels's back.

  • Hogan just needs to go sit his dusty ass down somewhere

  • At 7:31, HBK looks into the camera and says: "Be careful what you wish for, Vince-- you may get it!"

  • When was this? I love it!

  • FUCK HOGAN... i fucking hate that old politicing bastard... HBK owned his old "can't recreate 1 aspect of myself" ass... Fuck Hogan...

  • woooo he ripped Hogan a new one.

  • i was looking al over for this was a shoot promo was telling the god's truth

  • Everything HBK says about Hogan is true and more guys should be like Shawn and don`t take Hogan`s shit.

  • the reason HBK could do this is because he is what he said he is--The main event-the icon-the showstopper! Not many guys could get away with that without Vince burying them, at least at this time.

  • @Clintbdee exactly man exactly,HBK is what he says he is and he always delivers nobody was better on the mic at that time getting heat.

  • Well, according to his DVD in '07, they told him to go out there and be the HBK in '97/'98. So that's what he did.

  • Agreed. And he definitely took the mike and tore Hogan to shreds with his awesome heel promos. X3

  • Agreed. And I think that we can also agree that HBK heel is far superior than HBK face.

  • I sooo definitely agree!!! XDXDXD This is actually one of the best heel runs I've seen of him IMO!

  • @ChosenOne7685 plus HBK has been quoted as saying that he has more fun as a heel and that he'd like to go back to that again

  • WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT...MAKEUP

  • HBK PWNS!!!

I love this promo, I'm so glad they put it on his new DVD coming out in March.

  • Sorry, wrong promo. The one on his DVD is the one where he OWNS Canada.

  • I love some of the recent irony found in this promo.

  • Love this promo...Michaels shooting the sh*t and McMahon and the monkeys in the "Gorilla Position" are pulling their hair Shawn shouldn't be saying this, LMFAO you go HBK never a dull promo of HBK

  • MAKE UUUUUUP!

    AWESOME HBK!

  • i dont care what people say hogan is a useless wrestler hbk owned him hogan is a alround money grabbing useless bastard he will wreck tna !!!!!!!!!!!! hbk for life

  • hbk is best of all time nobody comes near him once he quits i stop watching wwe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great promo, but as said below, HBK has declined title runs in the past few years.

Being world/wwe champion means being full-time, which he won't do again.

Also, in line with that, means house shows, which he rarely does. It also means interviews, media, TV, radio, including other appearances being the 'face' of the company.

Family and religion is very important to him, so no, he wouldn't leave that to do all those things for the WWE. Being champ means more than just carrying a belt.

  • HBK: hes out promoting his show hogan knows best!

    crowd: boooooooooooooooooooo

    hbk: then you've seen it!

Fuck this guy can read the crowd before he even walks out

  • HBK needs to do this again and "Do stuff out there that they're not supposed to do" again. HBK is the only guy with enough balls to do these kind of promos.

  • what an amazing promo by HBK

Please Shawn, ive us one more time the old HBK!!!

  • What A Legend...

  • And also he did mention on a couple of interviews that he does not think he can handle the demanding and hectic schedule that being the champion provides. Overall, i think that it is admirable of him to hold his family in such high regard. Not many wrestlers nowadays can ask to have a schedule like Shawn's and still be respected in the locker room. So i hope it answers your "beef" so to speak on why shawn has not had a title run.

  • same with kane.......

  • shawn michaels is the greatest of all time!!!

  • the wwe sucks because they havent let shawn michaels hold a world title since 2002

  • It is not the WWE's fault for not giving shawn a world title since 2002. If it was up to the wwe, they would have given Shawn a title run a long time ago.He has stated that he did not want to be away from his family for a long period of time as well. His main reason for comming back to the wwe in 02 was to help elevate younger talent and try to push them to the main event level (eg cody rhodes and ted dibiase)

  • I wonder if this was part shoot? I know he asked him about the Larry King skit. I'd like to see Shawn go back to this character

  • dammit i wish i had that song and that pyro whenever i entered a room

  • Hogan got his butt TORE up by HBK, HBK is that good on the MIC

  • in all of these promo's HBK said and proved what kind of a joke hulk is. Even during the match hbk over selled all of hogans moves and made hogan look like an idiot. Vince wanted the old HBK during this time and he got just that as HBK exposed everything about hogan. The fans at this time didnt realize who the true entertainer and perforemer really is. Seems like their always up hogans ass. Regardless HBK is the man

  • the reason why the pryo was late, is because usually when the pryo happens, HBK is on his knees

  • It was actually the last time HBK was a heel and yeah he as a heel can make anyone look bad and let's face it besides from y2j and punk there arent any good heels around.

  • Was HBK heel in this? Because to me he seems to be....

I like it! Heel Shawn is the best!

  • HBK rules....

  • wtf firworks came late lol

  • The NWO was a rip-off from the original NWO of Japan, and 2 of the big 3 were original members of the Clique, add the DX originals, and X-Pac, headed by . . . . . you guessed it, Shawn Michaels.

  • I don't recall "pro wrestling" equating to just WWF. WCW was overwhelmingly dominant in the ratings wars during that time and were head to head with WWF for most of 98. Austin & Rock weren't the only big workers with the charisma. There were many pieces in WWF from Shawn's reign as king slowly transcending into what the attitude era was going to be about. You forget about DX, the group that truly started that era, headed by Shawn Michaels, the innovator of it all.

  • one of the best promos i have ever seen period. hbk 2nd greatest of all time behind ric flair

  • Hogan was never a saint when it came to backstage politicking, but Michaels of all people shouldn''t be talking. Michaels is just as big an egomaniac as Hogan, he just never had as much pull to avoid jobbing.

  • The biggest case of the pot calling the kettle back. HBK bitching about backstage politics are you kidding me.

  • we know shawn had his moments where he wud politic but still he wud do da job if he had 2 hogan wud not job 2 anyone except goldberg and look how that turned out........ hogan screwed hbk their match @ summerslam was gonna be 2 out of 3 falls hbk: 2 hogan 1 and then at the nex ppv hogan wud win the rematch but no hogan wanted win @ ss he told hbk he wud get a rematch but it never happend so if u wanna talk bout ego there you go..... o btw hogan cant even lace hbk's boots

  • One star with a giant ego complaining about another one with a bigger ego is like a multimillionaire bitching about a billionaire. HBK and Hogan both did so much politicking that any argument over whose done more is a moot point. As for Hogan not worthy of lacing HBK's boots, that much is true unless your in the business of not drawing money.

  • of course hogan drew more money he was just the right person at the right time anyone else cud have pulled off what he did in the 80's and while hogan left wwe 4 wcw 4 more money and was killing that company with his ego hbk was basically holding the wwe together in the 90's

  • It's presumptuous to say that Hogan was just at the right place/right time. No other star from the 80's has the same amount of lasting appeal and household name. The fact of the matter is Hogan can take a crap, wrap it in tin foil and give it to the queen of England as earrings. The only thing holding WWF together at the time was the fact that WCW couldn't stomp on WWF's neck while they had them down. And when Austin came and breathed new air into the product then you saw WWF pull ahead.

  • trust me have u read superstar billy graham's book the title says it all 20 years too early....... ill admit that wcw didnt capitalize on their momentum but if it wasn't for hbk, austin, rock, dx, and taker wwe would be out of business not wcw hbk was attitude before it became an era so as far as i'm concerned hbk is just the greatest behind ric flair and he just told it like it is in this promo

  • I'd say the nod to the attitude era goes to Austin and Hart. Prior to DX, I didn't see HBK doing "attitude" style things, he was the boy toy.

  • im talkin about the hbk of late 1997

  • I never did like DX, mostly because they seemed like a dumb version of the NWO, minus the toughness. I guess it was to appeal to 13 yr olds at the time with their "suck it" slogan. It would have been cool if HBK was just straight heel by himself. HHH looked like such a bitch during that time period and I forgot how ugly Chyna was before her facelift.

  • im only 16 and i loved dx back then ur right bout hhh and chyna so how old r u & who is ur top ten wrestlers of all time

  • 24. As far as a top ten list, I don't care so much about ability as I do with entertainment value. One guy that always tops my list is Kevin Nash. Everyone else has their good and bad moments. example, I really dug the Rock when he was corporate heel. Couldn't stand him as a face. Liked Austin for a little bit, but his schtick got old to me. Pretty much Nash is the one guy that I always liked no matter what.

  • austin rock flair hbk will always be up there 4 me randy savage too mick foley i liked his crazy mankind not a big fan of lovable mankind..... kurt angle always entertain also eddie guererro...... undertaker is one of my favorites 2...... wat do u think of taker vs hbk wm 25

  • HBK vs Undertaker WM25 was the only highlight of the entire wrestlemania IMO.

  • it was one of the best wm match i have ever seen

  • Very true. The only reason I rented that DVD was to see that match.

  • the irony being that Bret Hart hated the attitude era

  • Indeed it is very ironic considering that Hart's heel persona fit very well into the attitude era.

  • Bret Hart! You've GOT to be kidding!!!!! He was the opposite of the Att Era. If Shawn Michaels didn't define the Attitude Era, I don't know who did! Austin was rebellious; Rocky was sexual; Shawn epitomized both aspects of the Attitude Era equally, and before it actually took off. Shawn started the Attitude Era. Maybe you're unfamiliar with the original DX (the group headed and centered around Shawn) . They did things that even by today's standards would be risque. Give credit where it's due.

  • @sweetie21783 ur sik bitch shhh the rck ws sxual? eghh stupid kids shut up man

  • @sweetie21783

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Shawn Michaels is basically the defining measure of practically everything in the WWE. I mean first Grand Slam Champion, first Triple-Crown Champion, the list goes on. HBK defined the attitude era and it's ashame that Shawn got injured and couldn't see him throughout the Att. Era. Honestly HBK sells his best promos when he is a heel. HBK is the best.

  • @sweetie21783 you are spot on. actually hbk was the founding father of the attitude era if there was one. hbk was born with attitude , it came naturally to him. He had the unbelievable wrestling skills and charisma to back up his attitude and words.

  • @sweetie21783 You're right. Bret LEFT the WWE because he didnt like the Attitude Era.

  • @hereonearthme

No son. He left coz Mr.McMahon walked back on his word n screwed him!

  • @ILuvMcCool No, and dont call me son. That's a lie rock fans choose to believe. It's up to them. Even though it lacks any logic and comon sense.

  • @hereonearthme

Ain't got nuthin to do with The Rock's fans. N let's not start yet another Montreal Screwjob debate!

  • @ILuvMcCool Ah you're talking about Bret. Well I've red his autobiography and in it he said he didn't like the company's adult direction and that motivated him to want to leave. Vince helped him get a better deal with WCW and bret was happy about it all up until the end.

  • @hereonearthme

We are talking about different things.

N btw Bret wanted to stay with the WWF but Mr.McMahon couldn't afford him. WCW were offering him 3 times his WWF contract. You're right about the part where Mr.McMahon helped him get a better WCW deal

  • @sweetie21783 I agree! Here's one people forget to credit for The Attitude Era, tho: Rowdy Roddy Piper. He was edgy as hell back when wrestling was never more cartoonish!

  • @sweetie21783 lol, you start watching in 98 or something?

  • @sweetie21783 actually uh no Stone Cold kicked off the attitude era with his Austin 3:16 promo, HBK was still using his Heart break kid gimmick at the time and Stone Cold was the one who started the cussing and flipping people off. He was the one who started the Attitude Era, hince why they gave him the ball.

  • I don't agree with that. When Hogan finally lost the belt in '88 they gave the ball to Randy Savage who was a better wrestler than Hogan but never became a bigger star. They had The Ultimate Warrior pin him cleanly at WM but he never surpassed him in stardom. The guy who I thought had the best chance to do what hogan did in that era was Dusty Rhodes (not the Dusty we saw in 89-90). The other guy who I thought of would be a DRUG FREE Kerry Von Erich. Not that's a guy who needed staight edge

  • HBK > Hogan

  • does anyone have the segment with edge and hbk . where he says "what is it with you people and comin to florida, stay in your own country"?

  • LOL that was funny

  • "Careful what you wish for Vince, you may get it!" If that doesn't solidify this as a work-shoot, nothing does! The back story on the Heartbreak and Triumph DVD lets you know how heated it got between HBK and Hogan... let's just say Hulk "didn't like" this promo haha

  • Once again Shawn Michaels telling it like it is lol,Hogan is a punk even HHH told HBK just take one for the team feed his ego and he will go HOME.

  • stay on your side! damn

  • GO TO HELL

  • omg shut up
