what if he is doing some kind of reverse psychology thing, i mean he could had just ignored them just as all the other people on that little stage did, but he kept turning towards them and pointing out that they where protesters, making a remark about things not calming down in a few years at the end of the clip. who knows, all i know is that it is in the past, and whatever happened we will never know.
