I found the translation of the lyrics on the internet, to discover the meaning of the song. I wonder how much has changed of the Thais' attitude toward their own products (and cultural identity) since this song was released back in the 80s.

I wonder if there was a time when the richer class of Bangkok were so indulged in Western culture that they'd rather speak in English among themselves rather than Thai, eat Western food rather than Thai etc? If so, is that how this song came about?
