Didn't drink the water but if you were in the bush and wanted to take a hot shower and didn't want to pay big money for a heavy elaborate warter heating system. This could be done with a few 2 liter. We are so acoustom to throwing money at every problem that we fail to look for those low tech cheap ways to accomplish the exact same thing.I think you can heat enough to drink easily but to bathe that takes a lot of water the more you know the better your life can be.
In the military, we had a similar method. When out in the field, we had five gallon water jugs that we already had strapped to the outside of our howitzer and they would sit all day in the sun. So when the evening would come we had warm, sometimes hot water to take a shower. The jugs had a cap that you could rig to regulate the flow of water, so it made for a good substitute using the vehicle's height to create the cascade. When rationed right, 3 people could shower off of five gallons.
Righetous! We had a camp that had sort of the same thing the water supply was delivered to the camp through a long black iron pipe you had to take a shower early or you would get burned. We are on the verge of an food energy crisis only those that are schooled in survival will make it through.
I wanted to test this theory with a camp fire and it works eventually the bottle winn be damaged but if you are camping and want a reasonable way to heat a 2ltr of water fill the bottle introduce it to the fire. My bottle failed on the top but I was able to use 90% of the water. The water was very hot near boiling had I needed to bathe or what ever this is an option for you to survive.
you can do this with a balloon full of water looks nicer or a condom
