I'm not trying to diss the army or anything like that, but they were using ineffective tactics against the vc, and the only ones that were using the right tactics were the Marines, and they had more contacts with the enemy, lower casualty rates, more killed enemies, and gained the support of the vietnamese people. for that westmoreland called the Marines cowards and Krulak basically lost his job as a general when he tried to convince LBJ to start using the Maribe Corps's tactics
